I don't want the snow but I would gladly take a snow day. First shift hours are killing me!! I found out last week the supervisor I'm covering for won't be back until 2/12.

What is the first shift? You like the overnight shift better? You must naturally be a night owl.

No worry of a snow day here but the weather is very nice today. High in the low 60's. Perfect weather for a day at Disney. I wish I didn't have to work this Friday. DD is off and I'd love to just head to Disney for the day. We had to cancel our camping trip for this weekend (to WDW of course.) We need to clean up this weekend after the remodeling is through (hopefully.)

10-day Disney trip, baby, coming my way!


DH isn't just "ok" with it, in his own manly way he's as excited as I am!

I even have our restaurants picked out, if they offer Free Dining to the general public. If not we'll just do all counter-service out-of-pocket. The sit-downs and character meals are nice perks on the Plan, but we won't spring for that otherwise.

We also just got a call for a house showing tomorrow.... .....so I'm off to clean (which it needed badly anyway! ).

I'm hoping they do, and kind of thinking they will. They've already done bounce-back and UK offers. I know they shortened the period of time this past year, but we should still make it (see next comment!).

Oh, where are we eating?!....more than happy to oblige you!

We've pretty much decided on the following:
* Sci-Fi Dine In (lunch)
* Boatwright's (dinner)
* Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner)
* The Garden Grill (dinner)
* San Angel Inn (dinner)
* Crystal Palace (breakfast)
* Chef Mickey's (dinner)
* Boma (dinner - gotta have a Zebra Dome!!)
* and the Hoop-de-Doo, which will use 2 credits of course (which works out perfectly since we don't need 2 meals on our arrival day!)

THAT would be cool! It's not booked yet, but we're planning on 9/10 - 9/20 (a Wed. to Sat.). Maybe over that weekend!

Very nice job! Editing music videos is so much fun. DH and I are both in TV and my favorite projects are always the musical ones. (Rare in government TV.)

I don't know if I told anyone but when we go for Spring Break at the beginning of April, we have reservations for breakfast at Cinderella's castle. I've never eaten there before! Some other person got lucky too because we originally had 11 people going, but had to get 2 tables of 6. One group going with us cancelled and we gave up one of the 6 top tables. We also had to downgrade from the OKW Grand Villa to a 2-bedroom. So we really made someone's last minute plans come true.

Congrats on your reservation at Cindy's. We ate there for breakfast for the first time in 2006 and had a great time. We had a lovely view right by the window. Eating there is worth the hype, IMO.

The potatoes were awesome by the way. I added a little more cheese and baked them potatoes slightly longer than an hour. Other than that, I didn't change a thing.


1 pound Russet potatoes (washed and sliced)

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup cheddar cheese

2 tbsp parmesan cheese

1/4 cup thinly sliced sweet onions

1 tsp kosher salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a greased baking pan. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let stand five minutes before serving

Wow! Those potatoes sound yummy and rich. I think I remember eating them at Ohana's, but the meat on a stick is seared onto my mind a bit more than any side dish. Well, except the bread pudding.

Tag Fairies don't take requests, though many have tried to bribe them with threads offering chocolate. You just have to get the luck of the draw and post something that sounds silly when a Tag Fairy is watching. I like to say that you get caught saying something stupid.

Take a look at my first tag -- "I need to go with my gut on this one."
At the time, it was a perfectly valid statement having to do with instincts. The Tag Fairy turned it around as though I have a big stomach ...
Or at least that's how I interpret it seeing it out of context.

Oh great, it seems that e-mail notification is MIA again! Haven't gotten one in two days....

Well DH is basking in the warmth of Florida (albeit rainy warmth, but hey!) while I brace for another round of snow/sleet/rain. BLAH. It was .3 degrees this morning when I got up. C'mon, somebody feel sorry for me!

So I'm on the DIS getting excited about our Sept. trip! Whatever it takes to get through the winter, y'know?!
