Sorry I haven't been around today. I was very busy playing the Wii. And taking care of my kids of course. DD7 had to get a cavity filled and we both had dance class. But the majority of my computer time was taken up by the Wii today.

So you would rather Wii than Dis...I see how it is.

We also Wii. But we know what our priorities are!!

And it's Wii Wii-ing allll the way home!! (It just came out before I could stop it)

Because 90% of it is just an awful place to be. I'm sure not starting any more threads!

Did you get beat up on a thread? To tell you the truth the CB scares me to!! But I've made some good friends that I stick close to. I just might check out the cruise board. Hubby And I have never cruised. We keep talking about it though. Tell me about Disney cruises. This one scares us a little because of all the kids. We really want to cruise Alaska!!

Well, the cruising to Alaska thing I will never understand... LOL It just aint a cruise to me if I don't have a Malibu Colada in my hand and we're headed to the Caribbean.

But the kid thing, I can tell you about. I am always amazed at the variety of people on a Disney cruise -- not just your typical family, but single parents like me, retired couples, honeymooners, you name it! There is just so much for everyone. And I can tell you that Disney does a WAY better job of keeping the adult-only areas adult only!! When you're back in the hot tub at the Quiet Cove pool, under the stars, with a drink in hand and soft jazz playing around you, you'd never know there was a child onboard. They really do enforce the over-18 rule in the adult areas. On Princess, it was a free-for-all, and the staff couldn't be bothered with stuff like that.

The best advice would be to cruise at a non-holiday time. Some parents (*cough*not me*cough*) have big issues with taking their kids out of school, so there are a whooooolle lot more kids onboard if you sail during a school-holiday time.

Go wander on over to the cruise board when you get a chance... you'll see how many kidless-cruisers there are.

ITA. the cb is a tough area of the dis. looking for a safe thread? this one, my are you a mom, lets chat, moo thread., and i'm sure there are some others

some posters are very quick to judge or criticize you or make their opinion known. o.k. that's enough before i get flamed from some one out there.

Great Info Gina! I am trying to talk my dad into taking my mom for her birthday next year.

If I can convince him, that it will be so much better with all of the kids and grandkids.

I've been telling my dad about dcl since '04 (my first cruise ever w/ kids in tow of course). Finally, this week he says some thing like, I saw that dcl show . So there's adult only areas on dcl? He listened to the t.v. over his own kid parents i still don't understand them.

What a motto...tagless and scared of the CB! That's probably why we are tagless. We are nothing but scardy cats!! Here, I'll zip up your flame suit if you zip mine!! We should just put on our big girl panties and run with it!! But boy do some of those big girls scare me!!
