I can't believe we haven't had a post since yesterday evening! I guess everyone must be busy. Just don't get too busy to DIS.

No kidding, where IS everyone?!

Another rainy day here. Blah. Well, at least it's not snow. Icky. It's been so hard to get up this week, though, since it's gettng darker and darker anyway, and the cloud cover doesn't help. I hate shorter days at night but I'll be glad when daylight savings is over this year so I can feel like I'm getting up in the morning rather than the middle of the night!

I am feeling particularly lazy today. I would just be happy curling up on the couch all day with my laptop and the remote. Though I'm pretty sure my little one wouldn't like that. And I have to do errands. But at least for the next few minutes, I plan to just sit here doing nothing much.

Thats DS. He just turned 1 on the 4th. Its so different with just one baby. I'm used to crazy, destructive twins, but he's just so calm.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! I got the COOLEST gift from my stepdad -- an original copy of Life magazine from October 1971, celebrating the opening of Walt Disney World. The cover has 1500 WDW employees in front of the castle, and it's just so awesome. He had it all this time, and just re-found it after he and Mom moved recently. I love it!

So....I decided to take the old old job. Right after I get there, I have to go out of town, so now I have to listen to DH moan about it until I leave.

I'm having the typical boring Friday night of someone with a young child and no family to babysit. My older DD is going to some event at our city rec center. But since we still have the little one, we can't do a real date night. I tend to talk to myself all the time, because I'm normally with the baby and it's great for their language skills to "chat" with them. Unfortunately, I keep it up when she's not there. So I look really silly walking through Target telling myself about what I see.

We don't have any plans tonight. My sister is spending the weekend with us (She is 17) so I will probably be toting her around all weekend since our parents won't let her drive by herself yet.

You're right, I was sleeping.
We are headed out for dinner at a local Italian restaurant. After that we are either going to bowl or walk around at the outdoor shopping center. They have a free concert there every Friday night through the end of October. Whether or not we go all depends on whether or not I can brave the cold.

I have a quiz on molecular genetics to take tonight. Doesn't that sound fun?? Then I'm going to watch the "Pushing Daisies" episode I recorded, while DS serenades me on Guitar Hero in the background.

And DeterminedOne -- quit hogging all the cold!! Actually, I shouldn't complain -- it was only about 86 today. Pretty darn chilly, compared to how October has been so far.
