What's so good about it?
I should still be doing this.

First, my DD8 woke me up at 4 a.m. to tell me she threw up in her room. So I had to clean up her comforter, sheets, and a very large amount on her carpet. While doing this, I woke up the little one. So she went in with DH while I scrubbed (he doesn't do throw up duty.) I dropped a hunk of vomit on myself in the process.I got DD8 to sleep on the couch because even with clean sheets, her new room stunk too much to be in it. I go into my room and find the little one has decided it's party time. DH can sleep through anything, I can not. So from about 4:30 until 6:30, I'm trying to get my 2 year old to stop kicking me, sitting on me, or asking for milk. Finally, one of us passed out around 6:30. I think it was me. At 8, my DD8 comes in to tell me she's awake and feels better. I sent her off to watch TV. But I only got another half hour before DH got up and reminded me I had a stinky comforter to get in the wash.
So, how do you get the smell of throw up out of a surface washable only stuffed animal? My DD8's lovey, a cat stuffed with those little pellets you can't wash, got hit. I'm also having trouble with the carpet since I have no carpet cleaner. DH can't handle the smell of throw up, so it's all on me.
(I use a lavendar scented cleaning spray so the room smelled normal). At 6:00, I hear someone upstairs again. Then I hear paper towels being torn off the roll. DS8 has coughed up again, but just a little, and on the floor, so he's attempting to clean it up himself! He actually did manage to take care of it, but I go down there to find the lights on and now DS6 is wide awake. I send him upstairs to the spare bedroom, put DS8 back in bed for a 2nd time, and I go flop on the couch utterly exhausted....
There is nothing like having your sleep interrupted that many times in the wee hours of the morning to really screw up your day!
Oh, the stuffed animal: wash the bejeebers out of it the best you can. Then pick up some Febreeze fabric spray and use that several times until the smell goes away.
No kidding....![]()
Well, first of all, it's a grueling test to begin with.
But a mile and a half in 90 degree heat...!!?? That's enough to sap anyone. I like that Kent pulled him up when it was clear he wasn't even going to come close.
I LOVE horses but I think I'm done watching races. This is too much stress for me!! At least a race is only about 2 minutes of sheer agony....I don't know how my husband watches an entire 4 hours of football when it's a tight game!!![]()
I'm hot. It reached 95 here today!![]()
.
Our 104 in NC can't match 95 in NH. You all cannot be used to that amount of heat.

I have no clue what it reached but the pool was refreshing at first, then it felt like very warm bath water. You had to keep getting out, baking in the sun, then getting back in to feel any relief. Luckily, we went late and around 5 a nice breeze came in off the Gulf. The little one didn't nap and is already down for the night. I'll be there soon myself. The sun really takes it out of you. That and a night of cleaning up throw up.
