TGIF ladies! I'll likely be MIA here until Tuesday next week. The BF and I are on vacation and I likely won't have much DIS time.

I hope you all have a stupendous bear, snake and pee-free weekend!

:flower3:

DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!

Pee-free? I'd hate to not be able to pee all weekend. Though I do want to be bear and snake free while peeing.

Do you ever have to turn the light on in the middle of the night to make sure there aren't any snakes in the toilet... BEFORE you pee?

No. But I did have a frog that lived in our toilet in Orlando for months. He hid under the rim of the bowl. When you flushed, you could see him peek out then climb back in. That worked great for my DD who was potty training at the time. She's love to pee so she could flush and see the froggy. It didn't work so well for our guests. Though many didn't believe me, until they flushed.

COOL! I LOVE frogs!

Thanks to you guys for my son's b-day wishes.

Oh that's right, the rest of you have lives and are probably out doing something FUN on a Friday night!!:rotfl:

Nope, no life here. Sad to say. My son and husband left for our camp to spend the night. My daughter and I will head out tomorrow for his b-day party. It's been raining and in the 50's for days. Hopefully tomorrow will turn out nice. The camp has way too much dampness and mold for me to stay 2 nights. My head would explode. Rotten sinus issues. We didn't want to drag the pop-up out there and set it up in the rain. Pretty sad to have a camp that I can't sleep in. Maybe 1 night won't be so bad. More then that and I would need the pop-up. My mother is coming over and the 3 of us girls are going to watch a movie. Actually she is going to spend the night so she doesn't have to drive home at night. Not that 5 miles is very far.:rotfl2: She doesn't come over very often so my daughter and I are still in shock.

Hey Metro! The clown in your siggie is very disturbing.....:scared1:

SadieDog, are you guys getting this heat wave the next few days?? We are heading into the 90s for the next 4 days, which is just nuts after yesterday and today (50s and rain!). I'm not complaing, mind you, just ever-amazed at New England weather! We are heading North on Sunday (doing the Flume in Franconia Notch) so it should be nice up there.

I just ordered a "real" cell phone for the first time! :yay: We've used Tracfone in the past because we really hardly ever use it. But I've been having problems with them lately and I was just fed up, so I'm now an official customer with Verizon! (Can you hear me now?...:rotfl2: ) I will give DH my old Tracfone phone (it's newer than his) because he uses it even less than me, and DS11 will get DH's current phone, so he has something to take with him around the neighborhood.

Welcome to the present. :lmao: We only have cell phones. When we moved 5 years ago, we decided we didn't want to pay another $60 connection fee and a second monthly bill for a home phone. We may get one eventually for when DD stays home alone. But by then she'll probably have her own cell phone too.

We went to the Melting Pot tonight to celebrate my DD getting out of school and making Honor Roll all year. :lovestruc I'm in a food coma right now. I have to say I love portable DVD players. We take ours to restaurants in case the littlest gets antsy. It works great at a place where the meal takes hours like the Melting Pot. Plus, it acted as a barrier between her and the hot pot of oil. :stir:

That is to funny!! You should have done your whole bathroom up in a frog motif. :lmao:

I hope you, your DD and your mother have a fun movie night.

Hey guys...Happy Friday! Just wanted to stop in for a sec. :teeth:

Happy friday to you too!!

Congratulations to your DD being on honor roll!! :dance3:

Jack was the the main icon from Halloween Horror Nights last year. Rumor has it his sister Jill is making her first ever appearance this year.

I had to avoid Burger King last year when they did the promtional tie-in with Universal. Those pictures freaked my DD out big time. She hid her eyes when we drove by the billboards.

Well for crying out loud, why would they put that stuff on a billboard!!??? I can understand advertising, but not somewhere where little kids can plainly see it!

Ok, ookie moment of the night: DS11 just came out of his room and said he just saw something gray and furry on the front steps....Now it's gone. I'm guessing large cat or small dog.

Or small Bigfoot....:faint:

Or a rabid fox, or possum....

There's just something very unsettling about looking out your windows at night and seeing something you don't expect!!

.

Got that. ;)

Oh. And LegoMom - AWESOME NEW AVATAR!!!

Thanks! :thumbsup2

With all the food bribing for the Tag Fairy over on the Scrolling Tag thread, I dug around for some food-related avatars. When I saw this guy, it only made sense, even though it's not so much for the Tag Fairy (ssshh!...did I say that?!!....:rotfl: ). I mean, this IS the Official Babnana thread, y'know?!!

Now if only he was dancing!!!

The heat still has not hit us yet as of this morning. Still in the 50's and very cloudy. I hope it doesn't rain. I think it's supposed to get in the 80's. It may be 90 Sunday. The Flume sounds fun and I love the mountains.

I don't have a cell phone. My husband has a work cell and my daughter has a cell. I am out of luck. :lmao: It's nice to have at our camp b/c there is no phone there.
