I don't know yet. I hope so. I called her at 11:45pm to see what they were doing after and to my surprise she and a friend were already at the friends house where she was spending the night. They decided to just go back to her house and hang out. They were eating goldfish crackers. That's all I got out of her. I was 1/2 asleep anyway so better to hear about it when she gets home. I know not going to an after party is not as exciting for her, but at least I knew she was safe and I could go back to sleep. As always, I told her several times to call us for a ride if needed and NOT get into a car with someone who has been drinking.

I hope all is well for her. It's always scary sending them out. You just have to hope (and pray) that they will use good jugdement. But sounds like she did!!

Good morning, all! I feel like I'm the lone person at work this morning I did get a 3 day weekend, though--my dd9 had strep throat--the day before her ballet recital, nonetheless. We got her well enough to dance Saturday (4 rounds of antibiotics in her) and let her stay in bed all day Friday before the dress rehersal Sat morning. Needless to say, it was a stressful weekend.

Sorry she got sick. At least she didn't miss her recital. That was smart of you do have her rest all day Friday. A day of rest always makes a big difference with my DD.

I didn't know a person could sleep that much! She had been sick on Wednesday and I stayed home with her. On Thursday, she did not have a temperature and although she told me he throat was still itchy, I sent her to school because she was taking the Palmetto Achievement Challenge Test. They called me at lunch to come pick her up. When I took her to the doctor, I felt horrible--I was such a bad mom for sending her to school on Thursday, but she didn't have a temp that morning! I thought she just had a cold.

You were not a bad Mom. She had a sore throat; you didn't know she had strep. You can't keep a kid home everytime they have a sore throat and not showing other symptoms. More than once, I have seen my DD sleep an entire day away when she has been sick too.

Hey y'all!!!!!!!!!

We're back from camping. Had a really nice time and great weather. I've been feeling much better but either my sinus cavities take up most of my skull, or someone left the faucet on up there..... I've been through like 3 boxes of tissues this weekend!! Blah!!!!!!!!!!!

DH is taking the boys to see Prince Caspian tonight, because the next day off he has will be in 2 weeks. I'm just staying home and reading! I'll get to see it eventually.

Hey, someone DID mix up the smilies over here again... Well that just messes me all up....

How did the recital go? Those are stressful enough without being sick to boot. We actually left Disney early today because I have tap class tonight. It's the last one before our first rehearsal, so I didn't want to miss it. Plus, we did a lot and are exhausted. We bumped our passes down to seasonal this year because we have no plans to go the next 2 months. It's just too hot (and we've use up all our DVC points.)

The day is over--thank goodness. She was running around the yard when I got home, so she was fine.

The recital was great! She had 2 jazz routines, 1 ballet, and 2 tap. She did awesome and I was proud of her. Her sister (age 5) decided during the grand finale she was going to show everyone in the auditorium (about 1000 people) she knew how to tie her shoe. Her dad goes, "Is that Boo?" Of course it was. He laughed and said, "well, safety first". I didn't realize my oldest had learned so many dances this year! It is not competition until she gets to high school, and I am glad that they are learning without all of the pressure.

It's been fine, just kind of boring. We normally go camping this weekend and I miss it. Of course I have tons of things I should be doing around the house, but I'm not motivated to do so.

Isn't there always a ton of things to do aroung the house. I keep thinking that one day I'll actually get ahead of the cleaning and laundry. One day....maybe.

Besides all the normal stuff, my house has been unfinished for years leaving more work than I want to think about. We can only do a little at a time as we are able to pay for it. We didn't want to take out a loan. Our mortgage payment is enough. I would rather finish it slowly. If we could sell that piece of land, we could pay off other debt and get a lot more done on this house.

Good morning, Smileybug! I too love the little crab. Since I am in Maryland, I REALLy appreciate crabs!

We had a busy weekend. My older boys did 3 days of hiking on the Appalachian Trail for a Philmont shakedown. We took a tractor and snow blower to the farmer's auction and took the twins to see Indiana Jones.

Yesterday I picked up my very tired sons and did laundry and cooked out.

MeanQueen always has awesome weekends, and I love reading her reports. LegoMom's camping sounds good too. I love to camp.

So, the two nights we were out camping, it got pretty chilly and we had to run the furnace in the camper. Last night, back here at home, it never left the 60s and I actually left the windows open because it was so nice out there! Murphy's Law.....

Mom2twinz3, I love hiking the Appalachain Trail. Of course, we are on opposite ends of it. How was Indiana Jones? I heard some pretty bad reviews with a couple of people saying it was ok.

LegoMom, I know it can get pretty cold camping Memorial Day and Labor Day. When we go north camping during those times, we bring winter clothes. When you get up in the morning and can see your breath, you know it's cold. Or when you leave a drink outside all night with ice and the ice cubes are still in the cup in the morning, you know there was a reason you spent the night shivering. Glad you had a fun weekend and are feeling better. I missed not camping this weekend.
