Ohhhh, that is soooo exciting. My DD's senior prom was last year. We had so much fun planning everything. She has a close group of friends that still do everything together. They rented a black stretch hummer. This thing was so decked out inside the parents were making the kids get out so they could get inside.I'm trying to pass some time while I sit here waiting for the phone to ring. My DD is going to call when I can go take pics of her and her friends. Seems like it's taking so long.
I am just joining the group...![]()

She had the time of her life that night.
Stretch hummer - AWSOME. I'd love to check that out too. Pics are over and they are on their way to dinner. They all looked great, of course. She is only a Junior so I have another year I get to do this.

Hi ya'll. How's everyone's long weekend going so far? The weather today and yesterday was beautiful - mid 70's and sunny.![]()
SadieDog - hope your DD is having a good time at prom.
Mean Queen...Sounds like you have had a good time overall with a few glicthes thrown in here and there. That CM walking you through the park sounded like a little bit of pixie dust. Did your little one get to see Nonald Nuck?
The CM's have been great here. I forgot to mention when we checked in, there was a mess up and our Dining Plan wasn't set. Because it's through DVC, it took a bit of work to get that fixed. Though our room was ready early, we had to wait 40 minutes for things to get worked out. When things were done, the lady thanked me for being so nice (my DH was obviously on his way to not being nice.) I told her I knew it wasn't her fault and appreciated her fixing it. I walked away a little surprised they didn't offer anything in return. Later that night, room service delivered a plate of cookies to our room then today we got our room cleaned even though we weren't supposed to. I guess that was their way to make up for the problems.
Today we rode Toy Story Mania 3 times. The kids played at Honey I Shrunk the playground (or whatever it's called.) Then DH tried to take DD8 on RRC and she flipped out before getting on.
It didn't help when our friends kid told her someone died on the ride after standing up and having their head chopped off. My DD is extra anxious about things.
We had a nice dinner at Le Cellier. Except for the meltdown from my DD2. She's had enough. We've all had enough. It's hot and tiring.
Hey Mean Queen, It's amazing what kids will say. I'm sorry your DD was to scared to get on RRC.Did the other kid say it just to be mean? Or was it just "story telling time"? Hubby gave me a big surprise today. He told me to switch our ressie's to WL.

We LOVE that place!!
My friends DD has Asperger's. So she doesn't have that natural filter and sometimes does have a bit of a mean streak. Since my DD has a pretty severe anxiety disorder, they make quite a pair.![]()
We've liked WL, but unless we plan to spend a lot of time at MK, we'll save our points and stay at a "cheaper" resort like OKW or Saratoga. Again, after having stayed at the Beach Club last year, this pool just pales in comparison.I guess I'll save our point splurges for BCV. That's great you get to switch. It's always nice to stay at your favorite resort.
Mean Queen, your DD sounds a lot like how mine used to be. She had to worry about everything. Once when she was 4, she all of a sudden started crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said she was scared to have babies b/c it will hurt. I told her she didn't have to have babies if she didn't want to and she started crying again b/c she said she may want kids but didn't want to "have" them. That's when I got more detailed with my explaination of adoption. I told her she could still have kids, that she could adopt them. She was fine with that explanation. In grade school when she got nervous or afraid the teacher was getting frustrated, she used to get mental blocks. It didn't matter what you asked her during one of her blocks. It could be something that she obviously knew, she would just stare at you and nothing would come out of her mouth. She also was a complete perfectionist and worried about everything being perfect. She would torture herself. Then things changed to the total opposite. "What's wrong with a D, D is passing?" She is a weird one.![]()
How was your DD's prom? Really, really good I hope!!
