Hello all! I haven't been able to sign in the last day or so. I don't know what was wrong but as soon as I logged in DIS would immediately log me back out. :confused3 Anywho - just wanted to stop in and say hello. Sorry Smiley - can't help you with your Disney in December question.

Hi ya'll. Has everyone gone to bed already?:confused3

We went to the Rays game last night. Our friends got the tickets and they bought the nose bleed section. We won in the final inning, so it was an exciting game. Kool and the Gang played a concert on the field after the game. We stayed for a bit of that so we were out late. I was so tired when I got home I just took a bath and went to bed. No Dis! This morning, we all slept in. We're probably heading out to have lunch at the beach.

I have to share a cute story about my DD2 at the game. She loves watching baseball (though she yells "Go Bucs!" throughout.) She had a bucket of popcorn and was eating almost the whole thing. Our friends DD5 asked if she could sit by her. My DD said "No, I'm eating my popcorn!" We all laughed and the little girl asked again. This time DD said "No, I want to sit by my mommy!" :rotfl2: She just turned 2 in March, so she's turning into quite a speaker.

I have always thought she was a cutie. I love hearing your stories about your kids.:goodvibes

HELP!!!

This is the week before Thanksgiving, so the crowds shouldn't be too bad. Plus, Food and Wine will either be just finishing or already over.

We stayed at Boardwalk Villas at the beginning of May. We had a nice one-bedroom with a Boardwalk view. The view was beautiful but the noise got a bit much at night. If you go to bed early, I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, sit on your balcony and enjoy the partially obstructed fireworks from Epcot. We liked the location of our room because it was a short walk from the lobby. I didn't like that you had to leave the building to get to the main store. The pool is fun. There are cute elephants that spray you and the infamous Keister Coaster (aka Scary Clown Slide.) It's a short walk to Epcot or take a boat to Epcot or DHS.

We liked BWV and will go back. We really want a 3-bedroom there. But we'd prefer Beach Club because of the pool. Plus, when you're at BWV, you can see Stormalong and it drove my DD up a wall.

Have any of you been to Disney the week leading up to Christmas. Like Dec. 17th - 22nd? If so how crowded was it?

My nephew's bday is Dec. 15 and we've been there a couple of times during that time of the month. Fifteen to 20 minutes is the longest wait we've had. We've been there Dec. 10-17, 2003 and Dec. 13-20, 2005.:santa: Nice time of year. Bring both shorts and jeans, sweatshirts and short sleeves. I have heard people needing gloves and hats. The times I was there we didn't need it. It does get quite cold in the eveing. It's in the 60's during the day.

Mean Queen, you know the ages of my kids. Going on that alone what would you do? BWV or BCV. Both are available for those dates. And what location should i request? We really wanted WLV but no availability for that time frame. But I actually have us booked there for the Dec. 17th-22nd dates. The crowd level is what is scaring me with that time.

Thanks PaMom for you imput. I don't know why this is bothering me so much. Well...yes I do. This may very well be our last "just the 6 of us" trip. And its hitting me right in the middle of my heart. ::yes:: And Like everyone else that goes to Disney... I want the perfect trip. :goodvibes

My first pick would be the Beach Club. The pool there may still be doable that late in the year. It has a lazy river that I love, pirate ship slide the kids love, and a beach area anyone would love. You could really enjoy the Kitchen Sink with your party of 6. Or have a very nice meal at the Yachtsman. It's also an easy walk over to the Boardwalk, Epcot, or the boats to DHS and Epcot. But BWV wouldn't be a bad choice. BCV would just be my first out of those.

Thank you!! :thumbsup2 I want it all and can't have it. I just found out the the Osborne Family Lights do not start until 11/28. Can I scream now? :rotfl: You should be an events planner. ::yes:: I think you would be good at it. ::yes::

I got the t-shirts and transfer paper today for our new matching shirts!! :yay: We're going as the Incredibles again, but this time DS11 will have Syndrome on a red shirt. Last time he wouldn't even do that much...he had a black shirt with a Rock-n-Rollercoaster pic.... (you know, pre-adolescent and all....gawd forbid a million times he might see someone he knows! :rotfl: )

The other night I printed out all my Mousekeeping tip envelopes!

Wow, I feel so together....:smooth:

You are together! The only time I am that together for a Disney trip is our Hilton Head one. We're there for so long and so far from home, I want to be prepared.

I only know Disney. :rotfl2: I would be upset about missing the Osbourne Lights. That's a tradition for us. Are you making it in time for Food and Wine? If so, that's another tradition for us. I'm working on a girls weekend for it now.

Wow...you are together!! :thumbsup2 I love doing all that stuff. :goodvibes That "site" where you got your crowd calendar from. How accurate do you think it is? I'm pretty sure we are looking at the same place.

I hope you are pulling your trip better together better than I am. I can't miss the lights. And according to "that" site it has overall higher crowds for the Nov. dates than the Dec. dates. So we may keep the Dec. ones. Who knows. :confused3 :lmao:

I have found them to be pretty right-on. They adjust as needed based on trends, but only rarely have they had to actually announce a major change. I think in recent years they have taken into account for Free Dining in September (although it remains a low-numbers season, and in our experience, the parks weren't terribly crowded but boy you'd better have an ADR for a TS restaurant!!). It's the site for the U*0ff1c1a1 guide, if you can decifer that!! :rotfl2: But I think anyone using the charts should take into account that trends do change, and these are just a guideline to give an idea of overall crowd expectations for any given time in the World.

Me too!! I joined before our last trip, and signed up again this past winter (I think it's for a year, isn't it?). Anyway, I like being able to check the crowd levels and get updates on the parks and stuff. I have played around with the custom plans a bit but because we go when it's otherwise pretty slow, I haven't really found a need to follow them (and besides that, "optimum" touring can often have you criss-crossing the parks and that just doesn't work with 3 young kids!!)

How has your day been? We finally got some real rain today. It started as some pretty big storms, but the rain has continued fairly steady. We need it! I also got some more Disney scrapbooking stuff at Michael's today! ::yes::

We actually didn't get much rain today. I made some good cookies tonight. It was really easy too. I just took one of the many cake mixes I had, added 2 eggs and 1/3 cup of vegetable oil. Rolled them into balls and baked them about 12 minutes at 350. I rolled some in cinnamon and sugar, others in Pampered Chef's Caramel Sprinkles. I'm having a hard time not eating them all up. Now I know why I don't bake much any more. No will power.

Those sound really good. What flavors of cake mix did you use?
