Good luck with your infection and Nickelodeon. Is this from a tattoo? I had a friend who got a horrible infection because he was allergic to the neosporin he put on to heal it.

Well not technically. About two months ago when I started school I got the staph infection from a really bad bug bite. It was about a month later when everything was all healed that I got the tattoo. I guess the stuff stays in your system for about six months so it didn't help that the skin had to heal from the tattoo. It's essentially my fault but I had no idea. It's been a nightmare. I just really hope I can heal. I keep having nightmare's that I lose the arm

Hey everyone, just checking in. We have these things called industry on campus where art companies come and talk to us. I'm off to see Nickelodeon.

I could also use some thought/prayers as I have a pretty severe staph infection in my arm. I got one about two months ago and have been battling it on and off. I have to be on antibiotics for the month and i'm starting to get really scared.

 Best of luck fighting off the infection.

LegoMom, Oh, I wish I had your 'problem.' :lmao: Seriously though, have you asked yourself if you would rather visit Disney for MNSSHP again or would you like to do Christmas decorations and atmosphere? Would you like to try a new experience or keep with what you know? I would not walk to a comfort station at 2am. I am a light sleeper and would be awake for most of the night after that. I would pee in my camper, in a container of course, ;) then I would dispose of it in the morning. I always have to consider cost so that would be a factor in my decision too.

Well thanks for THAT!...:headache: Because I needed yet another angle to consider, y'know??!

:lmao::rotfl2: jk, of course!:flower3:

The Christmas decorations were, actually, a big factor in wanting to go in November. We've never actually done MNSSHP (big $$ !) but we've seen the World decked out for Halloween every time we've gone. I've seen just a taste of Christmas when I went for one day to Epcot with my dad several years ago. Plus, I went to the camping forum a while back to look for Thanksgiving threads to see how people decorate their sites (and let me tell you, they decorate!!). Turns out, there are far more Christmas decorations up at Thanksgiving than anything else! I was looking forward to doing something with our site as well.

I guess it really comes down to whether or not the van will be up for making the trip (it also kills me that the car would get more than double the gas mileage....:sad2:).

And HEY!!!......before y'all go hatin' on me for having this "problem," remember that Mean Queen's the one with DVC and AP and goes anytime she wants to!!!! I'm trying to figure out if and how we can afford a trip next year!

I would absolutely love seeing all the decked out sites at The Fort. Sounds like you were really looking forward to that and decorating your site. I can totally relate to that. I would also love to see the Osbourne Lights someday. Good luck with the van.

Good point about Mean Queen. DVC and AP. How disturbing to me.

Osborne Lights are on the top of my Someday List. Next time I go to Disney, I'm hoping that time of year will work out. Not so easy to pick your dates with a kid in college. Come to think of it, a kid in college is not so easy on the pocketbook either. :rotfl2: Lets face it, I have no idea when we can make it back. If our lakefront land would ever sell, things would be so much easier. Can't count on that though.

....try TWO!

...wow, our circumstances are more similar than you KNOW!

Throwing me under the Disney bus! But see, I never have a dilemma about when or where to go. If you're at Disney, it's good. So I don't think you can make a wrong choice.

I do think the thought of Christmas decorations brings a huge plus to the Thanksgiving side. But Thanksgiving week also happens to be one of the busiest times. So you won't get to do as much at the park. Buses will be very packed.

But then, I'm going this weekend for a night then again in a few weeks just to see the Osbourne lights. :rolleyes1

...are you familiar with the phrase: "Pouring SALT in the wound"???

My son is a Freshman in HS so it won't be that long before he is HOPEFULLY college/trade school bound too.

If you are also trying to sell something, good luck to you. We could use some luck in this economy. :goodvibes

Why thank you for pointing out that you are making a special trip to see the lights. :rotfl2:

I WILL see the lights someday. I WILL see the lights someday.
I WILL I WILL ;)

Turning the knife in the back? Kicking a man while they're down? I'm sure there are a few more cliches. But I have to have some benefit to living in boiling hot weather for 10 out of 12 months. I still have my a/c on! Today is mid 70's and nice. But in a few days we go back up to mid 80's and humid again.

...our house in upstate NY, near Cooperstown...we already had to reduce the already-low price by another $10,000!

Air conditioner? I can't comprehend that right now.

Ok, I admit it. I DO enjoy hearing about your trips/visits and I LOVE pictures. Where are you staying for the night this weekend?

Oh no, I'm sorry you are stuck in that situation. GOOD LUCK!

...a group of realtors from that area had a big Open House on Sunday to really push the sale of the house...my DH hasn't heard from the listing salesman, so he figured that it wasn't a success....:sad2:

Wow, that's too bad.
