Hey everyone! Today was the day we got graded for our charcoal drapery homework in class. I worked several extra hours with my teacher and finally got an A! Seriously, I cannot believe it. I'm not trying to toot my own horn but it's incredibly difficult to get an A on anything in this class. Like, we all have C's in the class. I was one of two people to get an A on the assignment. I had made a deal with him that if I got an A he had to give me a piece of his artwork. I got a beautiful drawing of a torso. This is the best day i've had in a very long time!

Great job! I saw the pic on Facebook and you really did do a great job with all the shading. Charcoal is not an easy medium.

Thanks Shay! My teacher really is incredible. I can't believe how much we've all learned in just nine weeks. I had never even touched charcoal before that! He's a genius

Haha sorry, let me clarify. We had to hang a piece of cloth and then draw it using charcoal. Charcoal drapery!

Hi everyone!! How's things? What's new? Today was a GORGEOUS day.....deep blue sky, perfect weather. My crazy kids even went swimming over at camp!! DS12 used the zip line....that thing's a riot.

Speaking of DS12.....he turns 13 tomorrow.... :scared1:
