Smiley, I guess you are right, seeing tiny snowflakes is better than seeing dead people. However, those tiny flakes turned to BIG ones. The ground is covered along with the trees and their branches. I guess it's a pretty sight, but early. I know it will melt.

Freshman 15? When you gain 15 pounds your freshman year. But I gained 30 over my whole college experience. And I wasn't a drinker. It was from buying tubs of buttercream frosting from the bakery, splitting grasshopper pies, and all you can eat buffets.

I'm trying my hardest not to gain weight! I walk a lot because of the city.

In other news I think i'm going to surprise mom and my friend and upgrade our resort without them knowing. We're going to have more days so we can actually relax and go swimming, etc. Usually we always stay at a value but I have some extra money and she really need a relaxing vacation. We both love AKL so I think I will upgrade us. Our little secret everyone!

We both love AKL so I think I will upgrade us. Our little secret everyone!

That is AWESOME!!... After spending some time at AKL before our Boma ADR, I am determined to stay there someday.

Anyone know if they have rooms that will accomodate 5 ??

I have ALWAYS wanted to stay there! I still have a special place in my heart for the Poly but I think AKL is the most beautiful. And with their buy 4 get 3 free I thought it would be a nice treat. I don't know how many their rooms can fit. But i'm sure they have a bigger room, like a suite. And then they have the villas there but i'm not sure if that's for DVC members only.

I just checked over at allearsnet.com.....All AKL "standard" rooms have a max. occupancy of 4.... So if we want to stay there, I'll have to look into renting someone's DVC points for the Villas.

OR!...we could stay at the Poly!! Most of their rooms accomodate 5 people!

Actually DH and I were talking about staying at AKL for our big 20th anniversary trip (still a few years away) but the likelihood of us going for a week without the boys is very slim.... So I'm looking for deluxe that will take all of us. We can always get out by ourselves for a nice dinner one evening!

That is so sweet! AKL is a great place to be if you have some resort days. I love just staring at the animals. Even if you don't get a savannah view, you'll be able to enjoy the viewing areas.

If it's for your anniversary, I'd say go for the 1 bedroom at AKV. That way you and the hubby can enjoy the big king size bed and/or the jacuzzi tub. You can rent DVC rooms directly, but it usually is more than renting points.
