:hug:Yes, ya'll are allowed to poke fun every now and then. :goodvibes

And yeah for the flights. :woohoo: Did you get good ones?

I have decided that "working" from home isn't all that great. There is no real knock off time. I can't really get away from it. I guess I can't complain to much. Its all the extra hours that made hubby decide we needed to get away. :)

We got a very reasonable price and we get in early so we can get checked in and have a nice dinner :goodvibes Trying to decide where. I think we might try Bongos.

I've always wondered how you worked from home.

Don't you mean supper dupper?
:rotfl:

Hi LegoMom.....did you ever get yourself moving? I had no choice.

Yep. Not much choice here, either, with three kids! Actually DS12 was up at 8:00am asking to do his school work!!...

I got myself going and did some work on the horse shed and fences. I'm buying the horse instead of taking my trip in January. Lots of factors went into that decision but it's the right one. We still have our family trip booked for next Thanksgiving! I'm not letting go of that reservation until I am 110% sure that we won't be going, if it came to that. I was amazed that I got it in the first place!!

Funny, DH said the same thing.....what do y'all know that I don't?! Am I being snarky lately?!!:rotfl:

Srsly, though, that was one of the points that came up. A solo trip will bring me much joy, but for all of 3 days. The horse will bring lots and lots of joy for hopefully many years. Plus DS7 also loves horses and he'll be thrilled to have one here (eventually he's getting his own pony, too). This horse is so easy-going that even DS7 can work around him and I won't have to worry. That's important. I haven't had a horse since before DS"almost-13" was born! It's time.:cloud9:

Where is Bongos?

It's in Downtown Disney I swear! It's Gloria Estefan's (sp?) restaurant. It's Cuban and always smells yummy. I thought it would be fun to try it. They always have good music whenever we walked by it.

LegoMom....with all my heart I agree with the decision. (Not that it matters.....) I just think that a horse is going to bring you all alot of joy, and unconditional love. Just think of the freedom you'll feel while riding. :goodvibes I can close my eyes and feel it myself.

Does our horse have a name? :)

See....That resturant does sound yummy. We may spend the night before at a hotel at Downtown Disney instead of at my sisters. That would be the perfect time to give that resturant a try. :thumbsup2

...my sister has eaten at Bongos several times and she's always raved about it...

[...I hear their specialty is Stuffed Armadillo....]

...

"Our" horse's name is currently Will, but I'm setting my sights higher. The woman calls him Will due to the amazing will-power he had to pull through his ordeal (when she first acquired him, she rescued him....he was slaughter-bound...:sad2:). The kicker is, he's not some old broken down horse who's seen better days. He's an 8-yr. old black Arab!!He's still putting weight back on but he has a beautiful head and will be drop-dead gorgeous when he's filled back out. Anyway, I'm looking over names from The Lord of the Rings, waiting to see if one jumps out at me.

And you know what?....it's been so long since I've ridden, I've forgotten "that" feeling.....

He sounds gorgeous!! Ohhhh......"that" feeling never really leaves. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if in a few years you have a pasture full of "rescued" horses. You have the heart for it. :goodvibes

:scared1: The heart, perhaps, but not the wallet!! When DS7 gets a pony, it'll be one of those tough-as-nails deals that can eat hardly anything and still get fat.:rotfl:

I've always wanted to try staying at one of the hotels around Downtown Disney, but there's just something so heart warming about a themed resort. Let me know how the restaurant is! All the items on their menu look delicious  I've never tried Cuban food so i'm looking forward to it.

Do you really want to know? Have you forgotten who said it? :rotfl2:

good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

I can't believe its friday again. ALREADY. Were did the rest of the week go? I don't have days of the week anymore. I have a blob. :sad2: You know....most people say, "how has your week been?" Mine is like...."Oh, how has your blob been?" :confused3

Good Friday Morning, everyone!

Legomom--sorry to hear about the solo trip, but I agree that the horse is better.

Anna--we really don't want to know what the armadillo is stuffed with.

kimmar--Just kimmar.

Smileybug--you really will adore POR, and I'd also like to stay at a DTD hotel.

I just realized today I have less than 70 days to go! I really need to get myself in gear! I have to finish putting away our summer clothes tonight!

Morning all! I have the day off. I'm getting my hair done and relaxing.

Amanda - you may not want to put all those summer clothes away yet. We're still having highs in the 90's down here with no relief in sight. I feel like it won't cool off until January.

LegoMom - congrats on the horse! It totally makes sense for you to give up a solo trip for your dream horse.

Smiley - sorry about your weeks turning into blobs.

Anna - I used to stay at the DTD area hotels. Once I stayed onsite, I never wanted to go back. There's just something so magical about the Disney themed resorts.

Mean Queen....I hope you do enjoy your day off. :thumbsup2

creativeamanda....I am truly excited about POR.

Mean Queen, you really hit the nail on the head when you said, "once you stay in Disney...." I changed my ressie this morning. We will be arriving at POR on Nov. 28th. We are going to use that afternoon to look around the resort and go to Downtown Disney. :thumbsup2 I think that will give us the best chance of relaxing. Especially since this is a short trip. :goodvibes
