See.... the pictures that were in the paper of the armadillos weren't so cute. They looked rather........naked. Think......plucked chicken. Maybe not plucked chicken.

LegoMom.... Its official. The reservations are made and the trip is paid in full. I knew if I didn't pay it off we would end up talking ourselves out of it. This is just a quick trip to try and de-stress and celebrate our anniversary. We will be at the Port Orleans Riverside w/king bed Nov. 29th - Dec. 2nd. We will stay the night of the 28th at my sisters house. She is just an hour/hour and a half away. So we will be there bright and early on the 29th. Just going to do 3 parks. MK, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Not sure of meals. Gotta get on those sometime today. Thankfully we live close enough to make a short stay very comfortable. We are really looking forward to this.

That sounds really relaxing. Port Orleands is so beautiful. Have a happy anniversary!

I was just looking at park hours for January, matter of fact. Planning out where I'm going on what day, which EMH I'll take advantage of, etc.. I'm doing the Quick Service meal plan so I don't have any ADRs to worry about.

And, of course, no POR for me this time, either.... Enjoy it for me!!

I decided when I booked POR to not ask for anything special. We will take what we get and be very happy with it. I'm not going to stress over anything with this trip. I'm really looking forward to seeing this resort.

One thing that happened when I was ready to book. I had already gone to the Disney site and priced things out. The price I had online included a 28% discount that is being offered now. When I called reservations to book she quoted me a much higher price. I questioned it. She had to check into. I did get the reduced amount. Just gotta stay on top of things.

Sounds like a nice trip Smiley! Port Orleans is such a nice, relaxing resort. Great for a romantic anniversary trip! Make sure you see the Osbourne lights at DHS.

Our November trip is really just one day so DH can go to the PGA tour. But I did get BCV so we're excited. It's still high in the low 90's, so I doubt it'll cool off so much we can't swim. December is another one day trip to see the Osbourne lights (planned before we decided on the PGA trip.) And in January, we're going for MLK weekend at Bay Lake.

Yes true story. I was on one side of the bed and her daughter was on the other. (Now remember, I'm a late child. I was raised with my sisters kids) My sister looked at me and said, "why aren't you bowing?" Then she said, " I love you, you are so beautiful." Then she looked at her daughter and said, "I don't love you." We just cracked up. And no, she will never live it down.

I'm gonna tell another surgery story.... My hubby had to have lower back surgery years ago. All the stuff DOWN THERE had to be shaved. Before surgery they gave him meds in his IV to begin the send off to lala land. Well, before he drifted off, he kept lifting the sheet and telling everyone to look at his plucked chicken. We still tease him. And that was almost 20 years ago.

OMG Smileybug, I am choking on my snort-laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is, without a doubt, THE worst example of a "typing in the dark" snafu!!! I had to read to the end to figure out WHY he was at risk of losing "all the stuff down there" for back surgery!!!!!!!!!!! Of all the words in all the stories you've told, this was NOT THE ONE to mess up!!

I have decided that "working" from home isn't all that great. There is no real knock off time. I can't really get away from it. I guess I can't complain to much. Its all the extra hours that made hubby decide we needed to get away.
