Guys!!.....I"m going to Texas!!!

No time to go into all the details. The short version: we almost moved there before deciding to come to Florida. The guy still needs help; DH still hasn't found "real" work in FL. We're heading over there tomorrow for a week or so. At the very least, DH will be able to help out with a much-needed project. At the most....well, time will tell! And the rest of us get a road trip and a vacation out of it. Once we get up to I-10 in northern FL and head west, we're in new territory, my friends....never-before-traveled by the LegoClan. Dude.... I love to travel the U.S.!

So I won't be around here too much after tonight, but I am bringing the laptop and will check in from the local Starbucks or Panera when I can!

Gotta run....I've got to PACK!!!!!!!! (and you thought you were short on time, creativeamanda!!...)

That is short notice! I bet the boys will love taking a trip. Though I'm hoping things work out here on a more permanent basis, I'm glad LegoDad got the new opportunity.

guess what happened today ya'll.....i just feel sooooo awed. I was standing at my kitchen sink. Its a corner sink with double windows that face the direction of the creek. About lunch time 2 baby fawns walked out of the woods into the clearing. This is the first time in a year and a half that i have seen this. We know we have deer all over our property. Their prints are every where. But they come out at night. So we don't see them unless we just happen to catch them in our vehical lights when coming home.

seeing those babies like that just made everything right with the world. Know what i mean.....anyway, just wanted to share my special moment of the day.

I had dress rehearsal tonight. It went okay. Though we all ended up on the wrong line which put us all off for a bit. But that's what dress rehearsal is for, to work out the kinks the night before the show.

Good morning from Mobile, Alabama!! Just checking in, since I'm looking for any excuse to use my laptop and the free Wi-Fi in the room!....

Had a good travel day yesterday. Took just about all day to get out of Florida.....Big. State. Western FL up in the panhandle is really quite rolling! And of course I drooled over the horse farms up in the Ocala area.

We're heading out shortly (it's only 6:30 here....Central Time don'tcha know...) and will arrive in TX later today. As anxious as I am to get there, I personally could stay in this pouffy bed all day!!! Very comfy.

Not sure when I"ll be able to check in again so I hope y'all have a great weekend!!! I'll catch up when I next log in.

Mean Queen--How was that recital?

I need to get in gear today, but I just feel like being lazy. I have some laundry to do, but I don't even want to do that. . .DS needs another haircut, but I think I'll just take him on Monday. Sweetie has her last ball practice on Monday evening, so I can take him then before her practice. She is not going to be able to play on the All Star team because she will bein the Florida, but she continued to go to practice to help the person who is taking her position and to help her team. IMO, that says a lot about her character. She certainly has the right nickname. (And look at me tearing up with pride over my daughter.)

Now, I will update from time to time from my Blackberry next week, because I'll be checking in to another site for updates. But, other than that, I won't see you all from Tuesday until the next Wednesday. So try not to let kimmar tear the place up while I'm gone, will ya?

Tonight's the night. We do a dress rehearsal the night before. DH can't go because we have no babysitter. He's bummed but my friend's DH is jealous. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.

Lots going on at work. We were bought out and everything became official this past Monday. It looks like it's going to be a good thing. Business has picked up slightly and five employees were called back to work. Wish it was more but keeping my fingers crossed.
