Hey guys. I just wanted to pop in real quick and say hello. Things are so busy, I have a lot of stuff I've been putting off doing and I'm sort of doing it all tonight.

Yes, thanks. I took my last pill Sunday night and it's so nice not to feel like you are going to puke every day.

We have been very busy. Sunday we started working on the kitchen and hall area. We started in the morning and didn't stop til 9:30 at night. I was so tired and it work mode, it was hard to settle down. My kitchen is still a disaster. Stove, corner cabnet and boot trunk all in the middle of the kitchen. The contents of our counter tops are all over the house. We are getting ready to paint. The ceilings are done and the primer is on the walls.

Monday I was still tired from all the work the day before. I went to bed at 11pm and woke up at 2:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Man I can't tell you how hard it was to crawl out of bed and face 12 kids on 3 1/2 hours of sleep. I had too much on my mind and couldn't let my brain relax. Between graduation, graduation party, trying to get work on the house done before my dear friend, her little sons and her mother-in-law get here on June 19th, I could not sleep. I was so looking forward to going to bed early last night but that didn't work out either. We were at Lowes in line to pay for some supplies when my husband had a little accident. He had 2 strips of metal that you put on corners of sheetrock laying on our cart. He rubbed up againts the metal and slit his shin open. LOTS of blood. His sock was soaked on one side. They have him stuff to bandage it up, we dropped our stuff off at home and headed for the hospital. He got 6 stitches and we didn't get home until midnight. It was so deep, you could see the muscle. Luckily it didn't hit the muscle. I am so looking forward to going to bed and hopefully sleeping well.

Ouch!

I need one of you with teenagers or older to assure me that I'll live through these years....

DD will be 13 in 16 days.....not like I'm counting or anything. I keep saying that only one of us will make it through her teenage years.

My trip to the beach is looking more and more doomed. First, my friend backs out. Now everyday there is a thunderstorm warning or thunderstorm watch and a 30% to 40% chance of these storms. The only positive spin that I could put on is that means a 60% to 70% chance of not raining........and I still have no job for the summer.

Boys......You'll live. It doesn't seem to be a terminal thing. Though at times you'll swear it is. You know, my neighbor told me yesterday that if you are gonna get bit by a snake, a copperhead is the best one. The bite makes you really sick, but you usually live once you take a lot of benedryl. Thats about what teen boys are like.

I hope your DD has a wonderful birthday! 13 is a crazy year! It's definitely a huge life milestone. Good thoughts your way about the beach. I'm sure it will be beautiful when you go

Now, see, mice wouldn't bother me one bit. Eons ago when my friends were out getting their first apartments and all, one guy had a less-than-pristine little hovel and it came with a resident mouse. We'd be sitting in the living room watching tv and out of the corner of your eye you'd see the thing zip across the doorway. We used to say "Oh, there goes Mickey!"....

However, if the "it" in my cupboards has 8 legs.....

I remember the first place I ever took painting lessons was in an older warehouse type setting, and when I went to put one of my paintings in the back room to dry...zip zip went a little mouse. I almost freaked, but it was so cute and tiny.

PA mom--which beach were you planning to go to? That may give me some insight into your predicament. If it's in the Southeast, we have those afternoon storms a lot like in Florida, and the 30-40% chance is just to cover that. We are thinking of going to the beach tomorrow.
