Morning all! I'm trying to get the energy to get up. I promised my little one that I'd get her a pink donut for breakfast today. She asks for one every single time we pass Dunkin Donuts and I keep telling her "Later." Later has finally come.

I also have errands to run before a pool party this afternoon (unless the rain hits then.)

She sure did! Though it took her a good 3 hours to eat it. That child does not like to eat in the morning. I had chocolate iced crullers and an iced mocha. We need to do a Starbucks meet again soon!

Oh, yeah, that reminds me, how is it, MeanQueen, that you can get Starbucks with peppermint this time of year? What do I have to tell them? I love my peppermint mocha, but can only get it near Christmas.

Most Starbucks have the peppermint syrup all year long, they just don't have it written on the menu. So order what you want and they'll let you know if they are out of syrup or not. Some syrups are seasonal like the pumpkin pie, but the peppermint is usually year round. Next time ask for the black and white peppermint mocha. They use the dark and white chocolates and it makes it more like a milk chocolate.

Well, right on cue, I'm getting dinner ready to cook and the thunder is rumbling! DH took the boys to the beach but I expect to see them very soon.

Just listened to the Preakness Stakes on the radio (felt like the Waltons...). Dang filly took it away from the Derby winner. If he'd found an opening on the rail, he could have taken it, but he had to go wide. Still, he came from behind - again!! - and took 2nd by only 3/4 of a length.

Just got back from the pool party before the thunder started. The rain should be here soon since it's coming from LegoMom's direction. My oldest stayed for a sleepover and the youngest conked out on the way home. I'm hoping to find a good movie on pay per view then head to bed early.

How was everyone's Saturday? Pretty quiet day here (well, until the storms arrived!).

And, the night before, we were treated to this beauty right outside our door!!...(it was a double but that didn't come out in the photo)

I hope everyone had a great day. We're thinking of being bad. I did talk DH out of a pool, but our neighbors informed us DCL is having Florida resident specials. We called and a 4 night cruise leaving June 28th would be about $2,000 for all 4 of us. This is cheaper than the trip we cancelled to Disneyland (and shorter.) I just have to see if I can get the time off (unpaid.)
