aww this is soo exciting. i learn something new everyday on these boards. now its just one more thing for me to check every day. (too see if the tag fairy came). i hope some day i can get some tag fairy magic

Abbie - If you look at one of your postings, the text under your "Member Name" is your tag. Currently your tag is "Earning My Ears". While I do not know the threshold, at some point you will be able to change your tag from the system default to something of your choice. At that point you may decide that your "tag" would look better if the text was a different color.

In my case, when I reach retirement age... I am considering retiring to the Orlando area and driving bus for WDW. The drivers wear purple pants, hence my comment that I may need to wear purple pants.

Ok, folks here is how it goes. The tag fairy, are acutally several people - they put random "quotes" in color under your name. And yes, they have been known to be bribed... but DO not tell them I said that! I do believe one of them likes chocolate... and if you happen to mention that you will leave chocolate for them, you might get tagged. Now... the photo "picture" is an avatar that sits under your name and YOU can change that. Go to "user cp" and select an avatar. You can up load a photo, or pick from one of the defaults. I hope this helps... I was lucky and got tagged pretty early on - for that I am grateful. It's just another "fun" thing that happens on the DIS! Good luck all!

Dear, dear Tag Fairy -- I overheard you like chocolate. I LOVE CHOCOLATE!
Lately it's the Hershey wrapped ones with almonds and raisins. I would love to send you some. Or how about some Godiva? Hmmm -- any Godiva. Here in Michigan at a restaurant called Bennigan's there is a dessert called Death by Chocolate - it is so good you don't mind dying - I mean, dieting afterwards.

From what I have seen begging does not net a good result! LOL! It can take a long time to get noticed. I have been hanging around for years and nada. Of course I am not as interesting here as I am in real life so I understand why I am skipped. "She" usually waits for you to say something you wish you hadn't and WHAMMO! The odder the better. I have seen some doozie's here.
