this is the question. you all probably know what it means but i am still new to all of this.
what does it mean when someone just posts Bump?
i saw that bump and that was the entire post.

good thing i can ask this on line. if we were face to face you might be rolling on the floor laughing at me.

It's okay, we were all noobs at one point.

When somone simply posts "Bump" they are basically brining that thread to the front page/top of the page. It can be done for various reasons: to get more answers to a question, to keep a topic fresh, etc.

Whenever someone posts a new reply, the whole thread is moved to the top, thusly "bumping" the thread up.
