Tables in Wonderland???

Does TIW expire at exactly 1 year from the date of purchase? Or does it go through the end of the month it was purchased in?

It goes through the end of the month AFTER the year anniversary of purchase. For instance, I purchased one on November 19, 2008 and it was good through December 31, 2009.

We loved it ... Already saving money with just one trip and we have two more planned for this year !!!!!!!!
The only problem I saw with the card was that even though we could get up to 9 additional guests the discount they would not allow separate checks so if you go with another family you still have to "split" up the bills.

FWIW, the Raglan Road server allowed us to split 3 ways just using my cousin's TIW card. A few days after that we bought our own (cousin wasn't there for the bulk of our TS meals), but that night we did not have one. Loved that the RR server was so kind!

In about 10 days of TS dining, not even one TS per day, just 3 people, sometimes sharing, always vegetarian (not ordering steaks etc), no sodas, the occasional drink...we saved OVER the $75 it cost. :dance3:

I've used TIW for many years and highly recommend it. I eat TS at a minimum once a day in WDW so it pays off quickly, especially if you're ordering a bottle of wine or two at dinner.

We purchased the TIW for the first time on the trip we just returned from. There were 6 adults and this was the best investment we could have made. When we purchased it we were given a list of all participating restaurants. One restaurant not on the list was the new restaurant at Epcot - La Hacienda de San Angel. We already had a reservation there and when it came time to pay the bill we asked if we could use it and the server said yes. So that really made it worth it!! :yay: One other note - The food there was excellent, and since we had a late reservation we were able to stay and watch Illuminations from inside. And seeing as the temperature had dipped to under 40 degrees, it was well worth it! :santa:

Thanks for all the info! I wasn't aware that it was activated upon purchase!:confused3 I am now wondering if I should purchase on-line or if I can purchase at the parks??:confused3

I'd purchase at the parks. You can buy it at Guest Relations at any park or DTD.

Be aware that if you lose the card, it's $50 to buy a replacement.
