We are heading to WDW and will have breakfast at 'Ohana on my birthday. Problem is...I want Tonga Toast! The real kind with strawberry compote.

Would I be able to get it from Kona to-go and eat it at 'Ohana? Would I need to make an ADR for Kona? We will be staying at the Poly if that matters.

Thanks!

I don't have any personal experience with this but....usually you can't get take out from a table service restaurant. You will also not be able to bring other food into 'Ohana to dine. You can get Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's. Otherwise your best bet is to make an ADR at Kona Cafe. Being a resort guest at Poly will make no difference.

I only mentioned being on-site because you may be able to order it to your room. Why can't you bring food into ohana? You can at other table service?

Ok then room service might be an option if you're interested. I've never tried or thought about bringing outside food into a table service restaurant. I'm not sure why that would be permitted. Even so - if it were permitted - you'd still be charged for your meal at 'Ohana as it is All You Care to Eat served family style. Every person 3 years old and up is charged whether they eat or not. So you would be paying for two meals.

Even if you can do this, you will still have to pay for the Ohana breakfast as it is an all-you-care-to-eat. None of the WDW TS are set up to do traditional carry out, but you could make an ADR for Kona for one, sit down and order the TT and then ask them to "doggie bag" it for you. You would still need to tip, in my opinion.

Yep! Fully plan on paying at ohana as I would like to try some of their items too! I would tip at both restaurants.

It won't fit on a different day but my order it to the room anyway. Thank you for confirming room service as an option!
