Hello, friends!
I am in charge of a group of 12 (8 adults, 3 Disney adults, and 1 9 year old) going in October. We are going from Oct 20-26.

The number 1 rule of our trip is "We don't have to stay together" but they would like to have times we do things together. TS meals are a good anchor point to get us all into the same park and on similar schedules.

The restaurants the group have selected are:
Tepan Edo
Tusker House
Ohana
BOG
Cape May Cafe
1900 PF
CRT (early or PPO)

What advice can you provide concerning making reservations with a large group. Since 12 is so many, I don't expect to try to all sit together at the same table. I think we should do reservations of 6 or 4 instead.

I read Tepan Edo seats 8, so we would try to do 6 and 6.

Call the reservation line instead of trying online. I'm not sure about all restaurants but I've made reservations for 12, 16, and 24 before with no problem.

Hi there, I just did all of my planning for a group of 11, and I was able to get all of our ADR's as one big group except for Via Napoli which we split into 5 and 6 (I doubt you would be able to get BOG either, but we opted not to go there this time). We have Tuskegee House and O'Hanna (dinner and breakfast) on our list as well. Just be online when they open, and be flexible with times (We actually booked an ADR for O'Hanna dinner for 15 people, but had to do so at 4:30). Our other locations were Whispering Canyon and the Wave. It will be a lot of fun dining with a bunch of friends. Enjoy your planning and your trip.

When we went with 12 we were seated at the same table except for Chef Mickey & Crystal Palace. We were right next to each other but at 2 tables for 6 it worked out fine. We put the kids at one table with the grandparents :rotfl2:. No really we got great pictures that way.

We were able to get a reservation for BOG for 12 both last summer and again for this summer. We've had luck at 'Ohana multiple times, 50's Prime Time, and breakfast at Crystal Palace.

I made two ADRs for 24 and one for 17 for our recent trip. Here's how it went:

Hollywood & Vine, PPO for 17. I went online at 180+ days and made ADRs for 8, 5, and 4. Then I called and they put a note on the reservation that we were all together. When we checked in for the meal, they merged it into one reservation (must all be there in order to be seated!) and we sat at three tables in the same corner of the restaurant.

Tusker House, PPO for 24.
I went online at 180+ days and made two ADRs for 12 people each, one at 8 and one at 8:05. Then called and they made the note that it was a single party.

BOG for 24 people: someone on here gave me the email address for the BOG large party reservations. I emailed about 185 days in advance and got the exact date we wanted! However, they only make their large party reservations for 4 pm. Not sure if 12 would qualify. We were seated at two long tables of 12 right next to each other.

at Tepan Edo be prepared to have a party of 2 added to either or both tables. we had a late evening ressie for 14 at Ohana where they pushed tables together so we were all at one table. been a while but at Tusker house we were seated at 2 tables back to back. we had either 11 or 12 that trip I forget. have not been at others with a large group

You can try booking for 12 online or calling the dining reservation line. While it is not guaranteed that everyone will be seated together, if you are able to make one reservation for 12 at least the restaurant is aware that you are a larger group. If you book smaller parties (e.g. 3 reservations for 4 people or 2 reservations for 6 each), the restaurant will see these as separate reservations and will plan table sizes accordingly and it will make it even more difficult to to seated together or near each other. Also, if your reservations are at the start or end of the breakfast, lunch or dinner hours there are more tables available and it will be easier for castmembers to seat you together.

I booked my ADRS on Saturday for a party of 11 and didnt have any trouble getting any reservations, or times that I wanted.

That being said on our last trip we had a party of 13 and it was a lot trickier. And when I was able to book a party of 13, we still ended up getting split up into 2 tables most of the time.

The trip before that we had a party of 10, easy to book and did not get split up.

We just roll with whatever, we`d prefer to sit together, but take what we can get.
