Table service. How long?

I just wanted to know about how long it takes to eat at a sit down table service meal so that I can arrange my schedule a little better. What's the average time it usually takes your family/group? Thanks.

On average, I give it 1 1/2 hours.

It does depend a little on where you are eating and whether it is a buffet or a served meal and also whether or not you want to linger a bit, but we plan on 90 - 120 minutes.

Theme park restaurants turn their tables over quicker than say Jiko or the California Grill. Usually from sit down to separture at a theme park restaurant, even somewhere very nice like Brown Derby is about an hour.

If you are the type that enjoys lingering, then just take your time ordering. Get the drinks. Then appetizers. Then order your meal after the apperizers. They will not rush you at all. You set the pace.

With most theme park restaurants I'd say an hour and a half at most. If you go to a fine dining restaurant, I'd estimate 2+ hours (at least that's how long it takes us, but we order several courses).

We were there 2 hours at Ohanas and CP. Of course we participated in the activities at Ohanas, and at CP we waited on all the characters. Piglet skipped us, so we had to get a CM to bring him over to our tables before we could leave. At WCC we were only there 1 hour and 15 mins. We were a party of 4.

Yes...allow 90 minutes to dine in the theme parks...they do tend to push the service through faster. Hotel fine dining does seem to take a bit longer, but if you are on a schedule, just let your server know at the start of the meal.

What about at Character buffets? Does it take about the same amt. of time?

It has been our experience that the Character Buffets take less time...of course, it depends on how many times you go back for seconds...thirds...fourths
