I am going to be calling tomorrow for my 90 day dining reservations. I have a party of 6, but my aunt, uncle, and nieces are now coming down the same days as us. Should I just shoot for 2 table at every restaurant? Or do you think any of these restaurants can accomodate a table of 11? Should we register as a grand gathering (I am very unfamiliar with this), and if so does that help you get seated together?

We plan on trying to eat at:
Hollywood & Vine
50's Prime Time Cafe
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Plaza Restaurant
California Grill
Cape May Cafe
Planet Hollywood

Any help from you big party experts would be much appreciated!

I don't know about those restaurants, but I did a big group at Morocco once (15 or 16 people). It was a while back, but if I remember correctly, the regular dining people gave me a different number to call to arrange it.

we were seated with 16 at ohana and boma. dont know about your choices. i would think no way at 50's. they split our party of 12 into 3 tables.

i've done 10 and 9 at hollywood and vine, they said 2 tables but we ended up with 1 and i 've done 9 at planet hollywood 1 table that was a walk up. sorry i have no advice on any others. most of the time they will say we will have to break up your party, i did get 1 table for chef mickeys for 16, and 1 table at park fare for 14, each time it was a pleasant surprise as they told us we would be split. hth

We have done 11 at Hollywood & Vine, 50's Prime Time Cafe and Le Cellier Steakhouse with no problem (and at Planet Hollywood, but not at that location). They might tell you when you call that you will be seated at 2 separate tables, but they have always been right next to each other. Disney is good about seating big parties together, IMO. :thumbsup2

We were a grand gathering of 16. At sci-fi we needed 3 cars. At 50's prime time cafe, CRT and Coral Reef, we sat at 2 tables. At the buffets we always sat at 1 table.

We did a group of 12 at Le Cellier, CRT, Yachtsman, Brown Derby, and Spoodles. We stayed concierge that year though so they arranged everything for us. Good luck, I'm sure they can accommodate you!
