T.T.S's Doctor Who Series 3 Thread! Hope you had Fun! See you next Christmas!

Excuse me, but does anyone know what I just watched? :confused3: It was so RUBBISH!

The CliffHanger? I predicted that before it had even started. Boy -> Watch. No Biggie! Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.

Also, there was too much sentimental Drivel. It doesn't really add anything to the story going on and on about the life he is going to obviously give up at the end anyway. It just made things so boring..

Also, it skipped way too much in the middle. First it was Sentimental stuff, then weirdo Dream (to which we never knew what occured!) and then it all ended. WHY?!

I reckon the child will become Harold Saxon, or something from this will mean he's the master. It's so obvious.. :sad2:

I will give credit due to the fact that A) it's a remake of a book, B) the scarecrows and the battle afterwards was pretty sweet and that C) what happened afterwards was also cool, but otherwise this has been the worse episode of Doctor Who EVER! Even I, with my bad Spelling and Gramer could make a better one!

Oh Well, Rant over, Happy Faces everyone. :)

Next weeks looks SCARY. It's Every Doctor Who Fans Dream to get spooked, and guess what, it's my turn. Great.. :scared1: And Who'd of thought it'd be on a Doctor-Lite Ep too!

Great great,

a full story in itself well rounded to 11 th November .

A missed opportunity, I expected the boy/man with the visions and the watch to warn the Doctor of whats coming next, I expected another you are not alone quote, that would have been quite Masterful.

Am I the only one that Hated it? Seriously, Everyone I talked to loved the thing!

Leela, back me up!!!!!! :lmao:

Different yes, and I can see some kids switching off not understanding it, ( that is not a dig just a real comment it was more like a hi brow drama this week).

I followed it and would say its getting out of Doctor Who territory, thats why i liked it so much it turned it on its head and pushed the boundries out thats what RTD does and the novel that these two were based on.

DW is so good it can change week by week the time, the show, the Sci Fi the drama side, this series has pushed it further than before.

I thought at one point they would have pushed it further without showing the pre title bit in the Tardis, starting as John Smith and no flashbacks and only doing the reveal at the end, but to ensure it is DW, they put thoose in.

I am a Big Kid After all Andrew.. :lmao:

You cant like everything!!!!

There has only been 2 things in the history of us knowing each other, that we don't like. One of which I then decided I did like.. :rotfl2:

All I need to do is convince her that Pokemon is cool and then yes, we do like the same things.. :lmao:

As i typed the ''kid' comment I didnt want it to come out like that, but as DW is a kids prog, I feel they would have lost a lot of the below 10's on this one, no reference to you PM.

I would say to any girls around:-

POKEMON IS VERY COOL

Worth a date...

If I was a girl I would be 'close' to going on a date with him.

Repeat the words..... ''IF'' and ''Close''.

I'd Hate to break it to you Andrew, but Leela already has a Significant Other, and Besides, I'm not interested in finding a Significant Other..

However, if there are any ladies out there that like Pokemon, I've been told I am very Cute!!!

For the ladies reading, I resisted saying the one thing you didnt like and now like is John Barrowman!!:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Pokemon, GSOH, likes internet and Doctor who WLTM Leela lookalike!

PS thought on last night.

If the Doctor wanted to hide, why did he leave the TARDIS where everyone could see it and the familiy find it so quickly, but everyone else, couldnt work out what he was saying about traveling in a blue box, and when the nurse saw his pictures didnt say, I saw that outside, someone parked it badly on a double yellow line, and it been clamped now????

BLINK

The BBCi Press Office have released the synopsis for 3.10

In an old, abandoned house, the Weeping Angels wait, as Russell T Davies's Doctor Who continues. However, when people start disappearing, a young woman called Sally finds cryptic messages bleeding through from 1969 – messages from a mysterious stranger called the Doctor. But can she decipher them before the Angels claim their prize?
This one looks to be the mainly Doctor-less episode, (remember last year) he is caught in time and seen through a TV Monitor.

I'm probably trying to make too many connections here, but do you think it's just coincidence that the background hymn that was played during yesterday's episode contained both the words "who" and "master"?

Here I am, Matt - 100% backing you up! Sentimental drivel were the exact words I was going to use to describe it as well. Andy agrees too.

As you know, I loved the first part of this episode, thought it was really exciting and scary. The second part, however, I thought was a complete anti-climax. Too much mushy stuff and not enough action.

Can't at all work out what next week's is about, will be interesting to find out though.

I just watched both episodes today with judicious use of the fast forward button! I enjoyed the good bits and fast forwarded through the 'sentimental drivel' (good description Leela!). An unsatisfactory ending in how he dealt with the family in the end too. Why couldn't he have just done that in the first place?

Because they have a three month life span and were loosing their power!

But a question, at the start they were sending ray gun lasers into the Tardis to shoot the Doctor, I thought all the armys of Ghengis Khan couldnt get in, and according to the previous Doc they had tried.

Have to admit I enjoyed it, although the 'love story' was completely unnecessary in my opinion. Quite liked the other sentimental drivel though and last night's episode was really cool coz my DNeph was in it, as one of the army cadet extras in the modern day scenes at the end. Didn't actually see him, mind you, despite watching DWConfidential afterwards, but I knew he was there! ;)

Sara. :)

Oh, and I still dont get why the young boy with the watch saw Martha running past him in modern times - they showed that clip again last night. :confused3 Can anyone explain??

I think the love with Nurse Joan Redfern, was to stir things up, 1/ the Doc being human, he never as a time lord thought of falling in love, 2/ His relationship with Martha, thats increasing through the series and her/his reaction.

Good one, there are lots of these ''loose ends around now, like why Queen Elizabeth 1st was so annoyed to see the Doctor, Who are the people with Mathas mum from Mr Saxon, is Saxon the master, This boy could see the future a bit like the Lady in the Gas one last year set in Wales, she went on to be in Torchwood, she saw Rose in the Modern times with planes etc.

One confirmation from the BBC, Kylie Minogue will not be in the Christmas DW, sister Danni is on X factor as a judge, next to that other monster SC.

Script Doctors

Series Four writers revealed.

The writing team about to embark on the fourth series of Doctor Who have been announced.

Heading the list is, of course, Russell T Davies. He'll be tackling the 2007 Christmas Special and another four episodes.

Steven Moffat will become the only other writer to work on all four seasons of the show when he delivers a two-part story - his first since The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances.

Also back for a double-bill is Helen Raynor, responsible for this year's Daleks In Manhattan / Evolution Of The Daleks.

Gareth Roberts (The Shakespeare code) Tom MacRae (Rise Of The Cybermen / The Age Of Steel) and Stephen Greenhorn (The Lazarus Experiment) all return for single episodes.

The season also boasts two newcomers - James Moran and Keith Temple.

Moran has written an episode of Torchwood's next series, and co-wrote the screenplay for the film Severance. Temple has worked on such shows as Children's Ward and Byker Grove.

Series Four of Doctor Who starts filming soon.
