Thursday 29th November. Keys to the Kingdom & Artist Point.
For me this was the best day of the holiday by far!!!
We were up very early and got coffee at Dunkin on the way to The Magic Kingdom.
How early? We were in the Minnie car park the row behind the disabled parking row
( front row) it was just a very short walk under the bridge to the Transportation centre.
We had to be at MK for 8:15 to meet for our tour, we arrived at 7:30 and on the way around the monorail it was quite foggy and I got some cracking shots of GF. It always pays to have your camera handy.
We checked in and were issued with a tour badge with our names on. This was fun as all the CMs we met referred to us by name all day.
Our guide was called Fred and he was very informative, relating lots of interesting bits and pieces , did you know CMs are issued with 5 costumes and when they need cleaning they hand them in and are issued with another set. Its not the same ones as they had before just the same size (everything is bar coded). We watched a video and the laundry system is a bit like on Monsters Inc. with Boos door on the conveyor system!
Lunch was at The Columbia Harbour House. We were upstairs in an area they had sectioned off for us. This is a great area to eat especially when the park is busy as no one seems to go up there.
We went backstage and into the Utiladors under the park. If you have been a few times it is well worth doing the tour; you get to see just how much thought has gone into the planning of the park right from day one. A must-do for any hardened Diser.
I tried to get a picture of the reflection on the castle on one of the xmas decs. but this was the best I could get( without my Baldy head in it.
After the tour we went and got a Dole Whip (another must do!)and then did a couple of the rides before going back to Club Sevilla for a swim and to get washed and dressed up for our ADR at Artist Point.
Theresa will be covering this on her food report so Im not going into detail but I loved it, on a par with Mythos for quality, but more expensive.
A great end to a fantastic day.
