Wednesday 28th November MGM
Theresa had a lie-in while went to get the coffee Croissants OK and donuts.
Theresa Loves Croissants, she also loves bacon and eggs. We have only been married 22 years, how was I supposed to know she didnt like them together???
I managed to get the brownie point back cos she loved the donuts.
We were at MGM by 10:30 and it seemed quite busy but it was only a 5 min. wait for most rides.
We did TOT first and had a look for Lost T-shirts for Maddie but they werent fitted ones and we had seen much better ones on the internet so didnt bother to get any.
We had a ADR for Sci-Fi Diner at 12:10, the place is fun with cars set out like a movie drive-in and shows old sci fi movies. This will be on Theresas report so Ill just give you a picture of the décor.
We managed to get round most of the rides, Star Tours , Muppets , RnR , Journey to Narnia and we watch the Beauty and the Beast show which we havent seen for a while. We love this show, one of Disneys best.
We got a Cappuccino and cake from the writers shop and went to Sounds Dangerous. After this it was dark enough for the Osborne Lights to be turned on. They are fantastic!
We walked around them and then headed for Fantasmic but the CM at the entrance told us it was standing room only and as Theresas knee was playing up and the sprinkles were back we decided to call it a day and go to one of our favourite restaurants, The Longhorn. As we were walking away there was a thud behind us and as I turned around Theresa said she saw an old man fall over. He went straight down and landed with his nose into the tarmac! The CM was there in a flash and took control, making sure no one tried to move him, and called for medical assistance. I was very impressed with how quickly they dealt with the situation. We moved off but its unbelievable the number of rubber-neckers that started gathering around.
Back to the 192 and one of our favourite restaurants The longhorn. OK, I know I have already said that, but it IS!
We shared the crab cakes for starters and I then had the NY strip with lobster and crab topping with a jacket potato, while Theresa had the filet with her fav. creamy mash potato.
This was not my favourite meal, bad choice on my part, the potato was spot on but the topping on the steak was too seasoned for my taste. Theresa loved hers.
We were too full for dessert, so just had a coffee and called it a night.
$68 Inc. Tip. Good value for good quality, just a shame I chose poorly.
