T-REX Restaurant

I am thinking of surprising ds by going here in January for his b day--- however, he is beyond picky- and one menu I saw, it didn't look like there were chicken tenders.... can anyone confirm this? or check if are going and PM me??
thanks SO SO much...
going there would work out really well-- mid afternoon lunch after a AM at DHS and then return to DHS for one of the 2 Fantasmic shows of the week (park closes at 7pm)

There are chicken nuggets on the kids menu, but other than that, no chicken tenders. ALso, for the kdis that like burgers, they only have one slkider (mini burger) on their kids burger plate.

As for that chocolate dessert, the lady next to us ordered it yesterday and it is huge! Also like $15, lol

I ate there with my 5 and 10 yr old boys on Sunday Nov 9. We drove to Downtown Disney and got there about 5:15 and all the lots said full, so I was expecting there to be quite a wait. Actually, the lots had plenty of parking and right in front of T-Rex. As we neared the restaurant, there were lots of people and activity so I was surprised we were able to get a table immediately. We were seated in the tropical section. The kids loved all the dinosaurs and the fact that they could touch them.

I'd avoid sitting in the coral section, which was pretty, but not much activity. The large aquarium in the middle of the room had no fish. The restaurant is loud. Service is slow, but I suspect this is due to its being new and should improve. Food is good, but that is so subjective. The kids chicken is nuggets rather than fingers.

Its a place I'd go back maybe 1x a year or less. Definitely something you've got to see and experience if your kids like dinosaurs.

thanks for letting me know about the chicken nuggets-- it wasn't on the allear.net menu....

I should clarify that I don't think the kids menu has just plain chicken nuggets, but I ordered the popcorn shrimp and chicken tidbits which came with two sides.

Yes, there is a menu item of just nuggets, although I believe that they are shaped.
