Hey everyone!! We're headed down in September and I was wonderig if we should eat at T-Rex Cafe. The pics look Awesome and the Menu sounds good, but I wanted some opinions from people who have eaten there. Thanks for all the help!!

It was a great place.
Loved the atmosphere. Fun for kids. There is a Build-a-dino store (by build-a-bear) and food was good.
I definitely recommend
This is very similar to Rainforest Cafe

It was interesting to do once, and I don't regret going, but I can't see myself going back. The food was decent, basic chain restaurant stuff you can get at any mall. The theme was just OK for me, I much prefer the RFC in that department. Dinos and 'meteor shower' are very loud, the noise seemed much more constant and intrusive than in RFC.

Be prepared to pay through the nose. My friend and I ordered 1 dinner salad, 1 order of fish tacos, and two sodas, and the bill came to $50 with tip. I know you're in a resort area, and you're paying for the theme, but to me, that starts getting close to 'ripoff' territory for food you can get at Applebees for about half that price.

If you don't mind the expense, and you've got kids that are into dinos, you may love it. For me, it was 'eh'. There are a few dozen other restaurants at WDW I'd rather eat at.

My wife and I went down in late March and stopped in at the restaurant just to see what it was like, we did not eat there but most people we talked to loved the food. There is a great store inside of it and the build a dinosaur was terrific. The place is alot like Planet Hollywood or the Rainforest Cafe when it comes to atmosphere and noise (it was extremely loud inside) and it was extremely crouded. My thoughts when we go down in Sept. with the boys is to eat here during the day and make sure I have a reservation. This is a must for us since our 6 yr old is a fanatic when it comes to dinosaurs.

We had lunch there in December. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service was slow. We found the atmosphere to be "interesting", but much more noisy than Rainforest Cafe. It was not a relaxing meal. We won't be going back.

We just went today and loved it. It is very similar to Rainforest Cafe, which my kids also love, but we really enjoyed this place better - maybe because it's new. Mine are 11 and 7 and both thought it was "way cooler." I don't see that it's anymore pricey than anything else at Disney. Family of four was $62 for lunch - about normal, I thought.

Like Kbkids said, it's a lot like Rainforest Cafe. Decent food, and it's worth stopping in if you have kids that are very into dinosaurs. Pretty standard food options, like you'd find at most chain restaurants. Nothing too exciting as far as the food, but the atmosphere is well-done. If you don't have kids who are particularly into dinosaurs, there are other places that are less expensive with better food options.

If you have a dino-lover in the family, it is worth the trip. MY DSs 11yo and 4yo loved it. I think it was one of the highlights of their trip.

The food was good and the service attentive the the afternoon that we went. I thought the cost was average for that type of restaurant.

Hope this helps.

We were there last week for the first time. I thought it was a fun place to try, but we prefer the rainforest theme. We are glad we tried it out, though.:)

My DD & I split a BBQ chicken flatbread (it's an appetizer, but we split it for our entree and couldn't finish it -- it was delicious, BTW). DH had a hot sandwich and thought it was really good. We had free onion rings (RFC Member). Our lunch really wasn't all that expensive, and we didn't finish anything that we ordered.

The portions are really big here, and quite expensive for the type of food that they serve. But it was fun to check out the place!:)
