T-Day Cruisers 2011, November 19-26th, 2011

When I log into DCL, it shows on the main page of my reservation what dining I have. I log in, hit view details and then it lists what you have under dining preferences. Have you checked there?
Oh, thank you! I just checked and HALLELUJAH, we got the early seating! We're a bunch of early-birds in this house, so 8:00 dinner is waaaay too late for us.

Hmm...sweats on formal night....somehow, even though I understand the post, I doubt it knowing you Michelle...but if so, no big deal...and if Lisa or Wendy would let Larry or me get away with it....well that is not happening...

Chuck:cool1:

So today all the Xmas lights went up. My neighbors helped and the girls went crazy with light up candy canes......Santa will easily find his way.

I began trying to find clothes to pack and sadly nothing fits. So for my dinner mates be prepared for sweats every night :rotfl:

Michelle:

You will be welcomed every night with a smile.. No matter what you have on.

Wendy

well my DD's and my clothes are all stacked in little piles. there is a larger pile of "stuff" (sunblock, swim goggles, flipflops) there are 4 suitcases (all empty) in the middle of the floor. I keep hoping when I get home at night the clothing will have magically packed itself but so far --no such luck! :rotfl:

Since we need a separate overnight bag for Friday it makes it a bit tricky esp. with airport security and the whole liquids issue. ugh. It would be nice to be able to pack what I need in my carry on and not have to touch the other suitcases till we are on board but that might not be possible!

sigh.

My mom just called me this morning from St. Thomas. I thought it was funny they booked a 10 day cruise right before ours!! she said it was beeeeuuuutifullll there today. :yay:

Calling all pin traders. Any of you that have kids that like to pin trade, we are planning a DIS trading session on Wednesday evening, mid ship about 7:30. My DD loves to pin trade in the parks and also enjoys the trading on the ship. They will also host officer pin trading one evening too, it is a lot of fun.

The Disney Magic will have limited edition "Magic" and
DCL pins that are cruise exclusive....

Are you sure you haven't been in our house? That's exactly what our extra bedroom looks like right now!

In someone's famous words..."we have not yet begun to pack..."

My kids love trading pins on DCL more than anywhere. When DS was 13, he started collecting monorail pins on the cruise. By the end, he had them all except the orange monorail. We could not find that one anywhere. A crew member took his name and room number down, and he magically received an orange monorail pin on the last night of the cruise.

The officer pin trading nigt is the best. They have pins for trading that are both rare and valuable. If you're into pin trading, this in one not to miss.

That's our moto too. We'll pack Thursday night, as we fly right after school on Friday. Still two more days of doing laundry before the packing begins.

Today, my daughter did not feel like doing her homework when she came home, so we printed out our cruise magnets. Thanks for the family Thanksgiving one Lori--we printed it twice, once for each room.

My son loves those monorail pins, too! They are cute! What is the officer pin trading session? Will that be on the Navigator?

We are MOSTLY packed! it will be a mad dash until we leave Friday I imagine! I bought my magnetic paper, now gotta get them printed!

JUST a few more days... :goodvibes

The officer pin trading will be in Navigator and is usually around 7:30. Always a great time to find pins.

We finally got our documents today, whew.... Booking last minute is a little nerve wrecking.

The last final days.. Let the madness begin!!

Wendy

I agree with Wendy!! I'm sure that Palo will allow you to wear your sweats too--you will look beautiful!! Enjoy!! princess:

Lisa

Great news!!! No sweats at dinner.....we have put together some outfits and I have found every stretch dress in the closet.

And on a much happier note I got a call early this afternoon from the ships medical team shoreside and I have been officially cleared for travel. This is the first time I will have to have medication administered by the ship doctor and I have learned much about the process.

Good to hear Michelle...hope all continues to go well...

I will spend the day finishing the packing tomorrow and then we are off! Two days in the parks, Christmas Party Friday night, and then the real vacation starts. :cool1:

We are looking forward to meeting everyone. The pin trading sounds fun. My kids will love that.

I registered my son for the kids stuff online. Do we have to do anything else for that once we are on the ship? Is there any sign up for the 14 year olds?

Melody, I am thinking our 14 year old DDs need to meet :)

See you all soon!

my DD 8 is a big pin trader (in fact--instead of actually packing anything last night I spent about an hour going through our pins and pulling together a lanyard for her of traders. priorities right? back when the whole disney pin trading thing first launched (and well before DD was born) I was a huge trader and went to meets and scoured the parks. Now I just have fun watching her trade for what ever it is she likes (with no worries of value or LE or whatnot). it is cute to see what she gravitates towards. I think she has an entire set of those disney cuties pins!

the only thing I do now is usually purchase the LE pin for a special event we attend.

another question--is there a specific DCL autograph book? we will want to get DD a separate one for the cruise (we have 4 filled ones from WDW and one from DL!!) before I buy her just a plain standard WDW one before we board I thought I might check to see if there was a specific cruise one.

so the current plan is gymnastics tonight. packing tomorrow night after work (and laundry). and airport on friday!
