Switching Universal hotels mid-stay? Do they move you?

Kicking around some ideas, and if Universal is our plan for an upcoming trip, we can't decide between Portofino Bay and HRH, so we will do a split stay.

Having done this with Disney before, I recall it being very easy, where the Disney people will take your luggage and deliver it to your new hotel while you are at the parks. Is this the same at Universal? Or will we have to pack up the car and drive over to the other resort, and then store the luggage until the room opens up?

I did do a search to see if this has been addressed, but all I find is switching from Universal to off-site, not Universal to Universal. Sorry if I missed the answer, but I know Disney in and out, Universal, not so much!

been a few years since we did a split while onsite , it was usually stay a week then beach then back to onsite, but we did it quite a while ago with PBH and RPR. If i remember right, they would take the luggage for you, but not guarantee it would be there when we went to check in, so we just packed it in the car and took it with us

i had the staff tell me they would move my items from switching one night at pbh to hrh.

talk to the TM's at the first hotel you stay at for making the arrangements to help move you when that time comes.

don't wait until the day you check out, make arrangements on the day you check into the first hotel.
