We are staying at BWV the 1st week in January.:cool1: It does not appear our wait list is going to come through. The 1st day of the trip we are in a regular view, then we bounce to a Boardwalk view for a few, back to a regular for a night and then 3 nights with a view of the Boardwalk again. I feel like a ping pong ball just typing it :lmao:. My question is, since we technically have to check out each time, do we send all of our stuff to the bell services in the morning before we go to the parks? Will they put perisable food items in the fridge? I am hoping this will not be a big headache. Anyone else ever have to do this?:confused3

Well, IMHO it will be something of a headache, but you'll survive it! ;)

Yes bell services will hold your bags and put perisable in a fridge/freezer for you. I have done the ping-pong thing....but that was early in my membership years.

We have switched rooms before on a trip, but it was only one switch.
Don't give up on your wait list yet. You still have some time.
If you do end up switching, then yes, you will need to pack up all of your stuff, call bell services and have them store your things for the day.
They will store your refrigerated items too.

I just wanted to give you some encouragement that your waitlist may still come through! It's early yet! We waitlisted at 7 months for a BCV studio during the first week of F&W, and about 6 weeks before, it did come through, for all 5 nights! So it IS possible, keep hope! You still have a lot of time, and people's plans change drastically from now until then!

You should also ask at check-in if anything has opened up. We had that happen to us. Even if it only eliminated 1 or 2 moves it would be great for you.

This may go without saying but each time you move, you must be out of one room by 11am and may not get into the next room until after 4pm.

I would head down to the front desk as early as possible and see if they can get you into a room that's vacated early. If they can get you access to the new room before 11am, you can simply carry your things from one villa to the next.

If that's not possible and you have to use bell services to store everything, tipping is customary at each point of contact.

Agree with the others who suggested you ask at check-in if anything can be done to reduce some of the moves. Last minute cancellations or careful use of overflow rooms may work in your favor.

Wow, that is alot of moving. I would just try to book the entire trip in one category. (I just hate moving.) I too am waitlisted for BWV in January. I have a 10 day trip, so I've got two waitlists. One for the first 5 nights and one for the last 5 nights. I'm hoping to get one or the other. I'm booked the entire trip at OKW, so I'm willing to split right in the center only once. Why not compromise to waitlist for only part of the stay so that you may have to move only once. Packing and unpacking both clothes and groceries sounds like a pain.

You still have over 3 months, it may come through. I cancelled a November boardwalk view about a month ago, less than 3 months before check-in.

I'm in a similar situation in February...3 nights Boardwalk View, 2 nights Preferred View, 2 nights Boardwalk View. Preferred View was available the whole 7 nights, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to have our first Boardwalk View stay. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your wait-list(s) come through if you keep yours crossed for me! :)

I'd stay in the OKW booking for the entire time instead of moving. I HATE moving. Oh, and I LOVE OKW!;)

If you can get out of moving, I'd give up the BW view. However, you may still get your wait list. Just start calling daily once you get inside the 30 day window.

so it looks like you just need 2 single nights in BW view to come thru? Do you have those as separate waitlists? I would think you've still got a pretty good shot - at least maybe you'll get one so you can cut out a move or 2! We were booked at OKW last fall and had our waitlist for BWV come thru at the 30 day mark. It was great!
