Switching MBs - sneaky or brazen?

When you switch out a MB in the park in order to use a FP on a different band, are you sneaky about it? Like stand in a corner with your back to the masses, so a CM doesn't see you? Or do you just do it out in the open?

Also, if you try to use a different MB (not your own official MB) at a kiosk or turnstile and it doesn't work, do you say anything to the CM, like an awkward giggle and "oops, I must have grabbed the wrong band"?

There's no reason to be sneaky if you're switching magic bands for fastpass purposes. You're not doing anything wrong and the CMs don't care.

You can't use another person's magic band to get into the park. I'm not sure why you would even try.

I didn't use different bands at a kiosk, but we switched MBs or passed them to each other several times when we wanted to use the Space FP off the 4 year old's band or grandma offered to sit and let someone else get a re-ride with her Splash FP. It's a legitimate FP on a band used for park entry and CMs have suggested we do it when they hear us talking about who wants to ride of doesn't want to ride in our party. No need to employ any tricks.

I was talking about just for FP reasons, not to get into the park. Maybe turnstile is the wrong word for getting into the FP line. I thought the switching for FP use isn't strictly allowed, so that's why I thought maybe you shouldn't be out in the open about it?

No need to be sneaky. They could care less. We do it ALL the time. A lot of times my mom won't want to ride so my DS9 will go back through again on his own wearing both her MB and his own.

It's no different than paper fast pass. Once you had them anyone could redeem them and many times we would just give them away if we decided not to use them.

Switching MBs is no big deal in the parks. When we entered the FOF FP area, the CM's reader lost wifi connection so I had to have another CM read my MB. I was wearing 2 MBs because one only opened my resort room door and the CM wasn't concerned at all.

The thing is, those FastPasses are gone so who cares who uses them? If my husband and I both have FastPasses for Expedition Everest but I had a lunch that didn't agree with me and he wants to do it twice, who cares? Everyone is happy, including two single riders who got to ride with my husband because I couldn't. Win win.
