So back in February I signed the whole family up for the Disneyland 5K thinking that we could walk and run together and get ready for it. We did a 5K yesterday and it was very obvious that my son can't do it. He has cerebral palsy and normally uses a special need stroller at Disney due to the distances we cover. He can walk and made it 2.2 miles in 50 minutes. I guess I should have known better back in February. But since I did sign him up for the regular race, what are the chances Disney will change his registration to the stroller div at the expo? Is it even worth asking since the race is sold out? Or will it be such a zoo that if he shows up in a stroller with a regular race bib that anyone will care? I guess worst case is that he can walk and get swept and ride to the end of the race in a cart.

I ran the WDW marathon weekend 5K a few years ago pushing my kids in a stroller.
- although I registered for the stroller division (more $), my bib did not have anything special on it to indicate that I was a stroller runner
- it is not a timed race, so I am not sure if they sweep
- if you registered him for the race, you have paid for him, push him!!
:cheer2:

From my experience at the DL 5k, I don't think anyone will care. It is very unofficial and the sweep time is a joke. I ran with my 8 and 10 year old, slowly, stopping for many pictures, finished in 42 minutes and were still probably in the front half of the field. People in strollers everywhere mixed in. It's all about having fun.
