Right now I have a cash reservation within 60 days, along with some ADRs which I booked at the 60 day window. I also have separate park tickets dated for the time of the hotel reservation (i.e., not part of a package). I just secured a DVC/points reservation at a different location. I want to cancel the cash reservation and keep the DVC reservation without messing up the ADRs or my ability to use MDE to book LLs at the 7 day mark (which is still a few weeks away).

Is there magic to this? Should I add the new/DVC reservation to MDE, then cancel the old/cash reservation so there's no time where I have no reservation? Or will the duplicates screw things up? Cancel the old/cash reservation first then add the new/DVC one? Will that mess up the ADRs?

My guess is this probably doesn't matter and will work out any way, but it'd be helpful to know if anyone has done this before and if there's any tricks or traps I need to stay away from here.

While it should not matter if you have not done the LL since it’s too early, I’d link the DVC and then cancel cash.

Don’t think you can switch to DVC, most likely when you made reservation there was no availability for DVC but was under cash. Just guessing

Two totally different reservations. The DVC one opened up recently. Not really "switching" in any technical sense. Hence the question.
