Switching dates & hotels??

What's the best way to switch hotels & dates?? Call and have them switch it over the phone OR book online and then cancel other hotel?? Don't want to lose my Loew's "perks" Actually, we are going in February, and I want the welcome gift I have noted on my LF profile. I want to switch from HRH to RPR for summer trip, but I want a different welcome gift. When do they check your profile to see what welcome gift you have chosen?? THAT is actually my dilemma....need 2 ressies, but want 2 different welcome gifts. What to do?? TIA

if you have filled out the profile before, that is what the hotel will go by on your welcome gift.

i modified mine last week. i wanted coke and cookies. didn't want the milk.
it was changed to my preference and received 4 cookies and 2 bottles of coke.

tell me if i have this correct.
you are staying 2 nights but one at rph and the other at hrh?

make 2 ressies.
you will get 2 welcome gifts.


4 years ago i had my cousin stay at rph and he used my loews card.
i stayed at hrh and used my card.

both hotels said it was not a problem since we were related
they did have the cousin fill out the loews membership after he checked in.

i walked them over and rph was very nice about giving them the welcome gift.

i did not get credit for both hotel stays. only the one i was in on the loews program

Thanks mac! I reread my original post, and boy was it confusing! What I was saying is we have ressie for HRH in summer, but I need to switch the whole stay to RPR....what was best way to do that ...call or make new and cancel old online?? Second question was: our trip in Feb., I want the milk/cookies for DS....but, in the summer, I want the beer/nuts for DH. So, I called LF and asked them when they check your profile to see which welcome gift you request? She told me for the end of June, to change it in April. Well, I figure if I just change it when I get back in Feb., we'll be okay....she said "yep". So that's what I'll do ....thanks for the input tho...i appreciate it!

my profile still listed milk and cookies but i received coke and cookies per my request.

you can keep the profile as it is but when you check into the different hotel, tell that employee what the welcome gift should be. and get their name in case it is needed at a later point.


there are advantages of making changes on line or live with an employee.
i always feel more confident by having the person's name and my notes of what happened when making a change. when you do it online, you don't.

but, you can always go back and check your set up when you do the ressie on line.

do not cancel the first ressie until you have the second ressie in place.

interesting you could request "coke" instead of the "milk"...didn't know they made "exceptions" (altho, we don't drink soda, so the milk is just fine w/ us!)
After posting, I happened over to RPR and booked it online for the summer stay...THEN I cancelled the HRH. Didn't talk to anyone to get a name, because knowing MY luck, person wouldn't be working there anyhows by the time I got there! DH was all set on HRH in the summer cuz we couldn't get it in Feb., BUT our dates changed and we were able to get HRH in Feb, therefore, switching back to RPR for summer. We did like RPR and it's about $60-$70 a nite cheaper than HRH in summer, AND we saw pics on the boards of the newly renovated rooms at HRH and DH is not impressed....(too modern for him i guess )...so, we're going back to RPR and saving the money to spend on food, drinks and souvies. I always take the LF card w/ me and I WILL BE SURE to get the gift I want...dontcha worry .
