switched to OKW from VB yesterday

Hello All,
We swithed our ressies from VB to OKW yesterday at the plea of my neice (and DD alittle). My neice - who is actually my great neice - is the same age (6mos older) than my dgt - is moving to Louisianna at the end of the month with her mom and dad,(dads in the army), and really wanted to see WDW again with us before moving. So I got on the phone to MS and with little hope of actually being able to secure a ressie for one of the WDW/DVC resorts was shocked to get 1bdrm at OKW. Now I've never stayed at any of the DVC resorts and am so looking forward to OKW - although was looking forward to a nonpark vacation at VB - but with 2 7y/o girls thats out of the question. Anyways I am getting real excited because I really love WDW !!! and its our 1st trip as dvcers - and we leave sunday at 7am from boston - WE JUST CAN'T WAIT!!

I am sooo soorrryyy that we will not be at VB to meet you and your family - but we will be at OKW 7/14-719 - and plan to pool hop over to VWL to see our home resort - we of course will be at the parks MK, on the 16th for sure - I know its hars to coordinate a meeting at WDW but would still love to meet you and your family. if you are planning to spend anytime at any of the pools please ca okw and ask for Susan Marino's room - we plan to spend the heat of the days at the pool and parks late afternoon early evening. Again sooo soorry about not being at VB.

We won't arrive at VWL until evening on the 16th. If at all possible, we'll try and contact you guys at OKW(even if it is only me and DD) Remember, DH will still be sitting in the shade somewhere, reading a book, oblivious to all the "Magic" around him!! If you are at the VWL ask for the Storey's room!

You're going to be amazed at that 1 bdr at OKW. It's the size of an apartment. My kids couldn't believe it. We've stayed at 1 bdr at BWV and VWL and while I love all the DVC resorts you can't compare the size to OKW. I have some pics of it on my web page Jo's Disney Den if you'd like to take a peek. I don't think that you will be disappointed by the 1 BR at OKW.
It's our home resort and we love it. You will be surprised at how spacious the 1 BR is!

We will be doing both VB and BWV in August, but my favorite is being at a WDW DVC. I'm a "Type A" kind of personality so I like to be doing something.

We have stayed at both OKW an VB and quite frankly loved both sites. At VB you have the beach. At OKW you have WDW and Orlando. Try Downtown Disney, resort hop, enjoy Orlando, and then go to the parks and have a blast.

I absolutely loved OKW!! The 1 bedroom is huge! You get a full round sized table and 4 chairs--separate from the kitchen area. The patio is nice sized with 2 ways to enter (off the bedroom or through livingroom) and also has a table and 4 resin chairs. The laundry room is a large seperate room off the hallway and is one that you can walk through and then enter into the main bathroom. It can be closed off on both ends. The livingroom has 2 sofas and a chair. Kinda makes you wonder why Disney's other DVC resorts are not as BIG?!?! The parking is next to each complex (not a lot). The only downfall is that OKW is not conveniently close like other resorts.
