Switch MNSSHP dates - what would you do?

Hi everyone!! I have 2 tickets to the Friday, Oct 27th MNSSHP. We are now going down a day earlier and I would love to attend the Thurs., Oct. 26 MNSSHP instead. I just called CRO and spoke with two CM's, both of whom explained the tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable. So, here are my options:

1. Stick with what I have and go Friday (just really afraid it's going to be SUPER crowded)

2. Buy 2 tix to the Thurs. Oct. 26 MNSSHP and swallow the cost of the Friday night ones. gulp!

What would you do? I don't care about the cost if it will end up being a more enjoyable experience. If I do buy the extra tickets, however, can I give the Friday night ones away? Would love to spread some pixie dust if I can, but I'm wondering if "non-transferable" means I can't even give them to someone else??!!!

Wow - How nice of you! I'm sure you can give them away - people sell them on ebay.

I bet there's someone here on the DIS boards that would like them or you could leave a message in the guestbook on my MNSSHP lens to either sell them or give them away. Since they sell out most nights I bet you won't have any trouble. Barrie

I wouldnt get rid of the tickets, if you really want to go on Thurs why not do both? See the shows, etc one night and do the candy and characters another?

I feel your pain about the expected crowds on 10/27. I had to choose between 10/26 and 10/27 way back when we planned the trip, and luckily chose 10/26, having since learned that Fridays get crowded.

Maybe do both nites? That would take all the pressure off experiencing everything on the first night

IF you decide to sell them (or give them away ), let me know. My sister and I are taking my nephew for MY birthday 10/28 and we're arriving around dinnertime on 10/27. We'd love to be able to take him (he's 2) for trick or treat. Thanks!

They're officially non-transferrable, but they don't have names on them and of course wouldn't be pre-finger-scanned, since they only get used once. I think you'd be fine selling them (looks like you already have some potential takers!) or giving them away, if you were so inclined

Just an FYI. We were down for 15 days and did the MNSSHP twice. I originally had tkts for the 10th, but then a couple of friends were coming down and wanted to go on the 5th. I went to the concierge at POR and they switched 4 tickets from the 10th to the 5th so we could all go together.

Now I don't know if all of the hotels or CMs will be so accomodating, but we lucked out.

Wow! That was very nice of that CM! Well, I did buy the tix for Thurs. Oct. 26. I think I will hold onto the other ones for now just in case we decide to go twice - I never even thought of that! If we decide not to go on Friday, I will try to give them away that morning. It will be my own little YOAMD!!!

Should you decide to give them away I'll be at POP with my DS5 who originally asked to go then was scared by the Horseman... He said he wanted to buy tickets and go until it was dark them leave. I said no way I am going to spend the money for that - so if you want to sprinkle some pixie dust on us we'll be standing still!
