Swissotel or Fairmont Copley Plaza in BOSTON?

Following on from my previous thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=2485441#post2485441) asking about advice and information about Swissotel Boston, I now have another possible choice which is Fairmont Copley Square.

I heard on my other thread that Swissotel is in a slightly BAD area of town, so please give me opinions and advice about Fairmont Copley Plaza.

Please vote for which one you think is best for a 3 night break, to see the sights of Boston.

I vote fairmont plaza!!!! Its a VERY nice hotel in the middle of boston in a good area and its close to EVERYTHING!!!

Definately the Coply Plaza, Great section of town, near the "T" and a very beautiful hotel. I love it there.

Copley. Hands down. You'll love it.

The Copley Plaza hotel is nice and is right near Copley Place (shoping area) and the Prudential Center and its shopping area.
John Hancock tower is next door and the Hard Rock Cafe is the next Block down.

the "T" is right near by Green Line is at The boston Public Library and the Orange Line is to the left of the Hotel up on DartMouth St and Stuart St. Newbury St and its stores are 2 blocks away.

there is also the Westin hotel and Copley Marriott nearby too .

the BPL is diagonal from the Hotel.

the other hotel is in the Downtown crossing area which has lots of stores such as Macy's and Filenes and other stores. Fanueil Hall and the Water front is walking distance away. alnog with the Theater District is nearby as well. Area is improving as alot of that "mess" was the rebuilding of the area .

the Red, Green, and Orange line as well as buses are all near by
The hotel locations could all depend on what you are coming into the area for and price too.

Copley Plaza has my vote too. Great hotel, great location and you can get to everything from there and most important of all great shopping.
Eros, I do a lot of retail therapy at the Plaza shall we have a mini Dis meet some time? Anyone else interested?
