Swiss Family Robinson Tree House Upgrade

We always do this one but it is kind of boring. Don't know what they would do besides Tarzan like DL

Yeah, I was thinking it was closed for refurb last year in early Sept. I'm guessing the refurb was changing the sheets on the bed and dusting the old-timey desk. I like it okay and I know a 4 year old that will love climbing those stairs. (She's related to me, btw.)

Small footprint
Needs minimal (one?) CM
Needs minimal electricity
Adds to the landscape
Is kinda cool to new folks or some who just like it
Why have construction and operating costs
When you can have virtually neither

PS Used to have a great castle/fireworks view until some real trees grew ... I wish they'd cut them down.

Swiss Family Robinson Tree House is one of my favorites, not to be missed attraction. I'm no Spring Chicken, and yes it takes some effort to enjoy, but so totally worth it. On a hot day at the park you are rewarded with the best breeze on top, with a wonderful view. Every kid has a fantasy of being in a tree house and this is the best ever. I love that Disney has attractions that still sparks ones imagination. Hands down the best playhouse! Can't think what I'd change.

I tour it every other trip because I had an imaginary treehouse in my head I always wanted when I grew up. Unfortunately, a Swiss Family plumbing system turned out to be impractical as did the sleeping arrangements in the Midwest.

I always thought it is a great opportunity for Disney to charge a "tree house oasis feel" for $xxx you can stay overnight and enjoy the bugs and other Florida wildlife.

I'm a big fan of it, more because of it being a favorite from my childhood, but also because it's something very different from anything else being offered. I wouldn't mind seeing them re-imagine it to involve Chip & Dale rather than the Swiss Family Robinson's since as years go on less and less people are familiar with that movie. Though I do see the problem of it not really fitting in in that land if it were to go with the Chip & Dale theme, as well as the Winnie The Pooh tree over in Fantasyland being a factor. Either way I hope it stays.

I think ya gotta like the movie to really appreciate it. Haven't been up there for years.

Two words ... wood chipper.

It's taking up prime space, bulldoze the thing and be done with it.
