I don't want to spread rumors but my father claims he read that the swiss family robinson attraction is closing. Does anyone know if this is true?

UPDATE: I found the article. It is not swiss family robinson. It is the tom sawyer island at disneyland that might close.

What is in there anyway. I always walk right past it?

It is a treehouse that you walk through and it is all set up like the family is living there. Nothing much.

Maybe they should have an area where you could see the movie first. ;) My kids 9&11 went through it and they didn't know what the heck they were looking at. Reminds me of last night...had a Disney CD in the car and DD12 says what does Davy Crockett have to do with Disney?

I wonder if that is true. It actually appears to be pretty popular. Kind of a way for kids to work off a little energy. Anyway, it does seem strange if you don't know the story at all ... not that I remember much of it! :sunny:

WHOOPS! JUST READ THE UPDATE! I hope to get to Tom Sawyer Island in WDW this visit -- I think Disneyland is probably tight on space. I hope they leave WDW alone for now!

I went through the "classics" before we went to WDW. And he chose to do a book report on the original book Swiss Family Robinson (was rather surprised it wasn't as simple as the Disney movie). Used the watch the Disney cartoons on the Disney channel, but now they have Mickey's Clubhouse, and nothing for the 6-10 age group with Mickey on.
