id dont know if anyone's posted this before, but who care's/doesn't care? who's not worrying about it? does anyone on here have it?

I had it, it wasn't that bad honestly. I won't lie, I haven't felt that horrible since chemotherapy, but I lived. The key is to be pro-active, you need to be very aware and very cautious of your symptoms. If you even have 2-3 of the symptoms, you get yourself to an MD ASAP and get tested. Better to err on the side of caution.

I‘m no more concerned than I am over any other flu. But my mom did make me get the shot this week.

sonya, is it just me or is sickness just attracted to you?
:rotfl:

Nope, being sick and I have a love hate relationship. As in the sickies love me but I hate them. :rotfl:
I'm always sick, I've always been the little kid who always got sick. My sister though, you can fan her with the flu and she won't get sick. She's got an immune system of steel.

A kid in my english class had it.
He was in the hospital for a while because of it.
According to his facebook status, he'll be back in school tomorrow.

My sister had it and some people I know at school had it. I am getting the shot whenever I can.

Not worried.
It's going through my school, and everyone's coming back.
I might be getting sick now, but I don't know what with. Colds, the regular flu, bronchitis, the stomach flu and god knows what else is going around.
Nobody knows what they have.

It's rolling through my campus like a wildfire right now. 3 of my teachers and countless of my friends/classmates have been out with the swine flu. It's just a matter of time til I get it, but I'm not worried. It's no worse than the regular flu.

Well, I got my shot today. I gave in. The nurse told me this 'If you've ever had the REAL flu, you would get vaccinated 100x before wanting it again." And I agreed with that. My arm is a bit sore, but its better than having a 104 fever!

I'm not worried. I've never gotten the flu, so I doubt I'll get it. If I do, oh well. My friend had it and she said it wasn't too horrible.

I'm pretty worried about it. But epidemics and any disease that can kill people scares me.

I am probably more scared of the swine flu vaccine than the actual swine flu. First off, I do not like that our school nurses give out the shots. Are school nurses qualified and trained to give us these shots? When we donated blood last year, a lot of kids had purple arms because the people doing it stuck the needle in wrong. And some kid got paralyzed from the swine flu vaccine, although I think it was because he was allergic to eggs. I'm fine with shots, I actually just got my regular flu shot yesterday, but I don't like that it's a new vaccine and it's being done in schools. I think there should be the option of getting it done at your doctor's office.

But, I don't think I'm worried about the swine flu. It's basically the same thing as the regular flu. A girl in my psychology class had swine flu, but she came back to school a week later and said it was just like having the regular flu.

Never been worried about swine flu. I don't even know anyone who's had it. Actually, I don't think I know anyone who knows anyone who's had it... Just overhyped.

That's me right there. My mom purposely sent me where she knew there were sick kids so that I'd catch whatever they had and then build an immunity to it. There isn't much that can affect me.

The last time I missed a day of school because I was legitimately sick was because of the Norovirus (of Norwalk Virus) in fourth grade. It hit me especially hard and about tw months before everybody else got it because I have type O blood (type O is more susceptible to Norovirus than other types). So, when everybody else got it and they finally figured out what was going on, they closed the school and I got a week off.

And in response to the OP. Nope. Not worried about it.

One kid in my homerom has it and my bio teacher has it too.

Overall, i'm really not that worried. :confused3

Oh god the Norwalk virus is awful. Not that I've had it, more like I'm absolutely terrified of ever having it.
It goes through the universities here quite often.

Yes. :) To be trained to give vaccines, you have to at least be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. This is accomplised with an Associate's degree, 2 years of college. To be a school nurse, you must at least be a Registered Nurse, and most schools require a Bachelor's degree. So yes, they are qualified.

.
They're called nurses for a reason. They are legitimate, properly trained nurses.
