So, granted, I havent actually booked our next cruise yet (october 2016 is what I am aiming for), but since our DD7 "hated" the stingray city excursion, she really REALLY wants to swim with the dolphins on the next one. Who has done that? It seems slightly overpriced, but looks really fun...
Pros and Cons?
TIA!

Not sure which island you may be on for that excursion? We did it in Nassau and found it MUCH nicer, cleaner, and more educational than the one in Grand Cayman, which was dirty, run down, and had terrible staff, in my opinion. Actually several of us from DCL complained when we returned to the ship about how awful the service was and how poor the experience was, and I heard DCL issued a partial refund to all the guests who booked that (even if they didn't officially register a complaint). I'm not sure if they're still using the same place in Grand Cayman, and I'm sorry I can't recall the name of it. There was a turtle farm adjacent to it, which was also quite sad, I thought. The animals did not look well cared for and the place was shabby. I would definitely recommend the Nassau dolphin excursion though. It was excellent and worth every penny if you haven't done something like that before.

Where in Nassau did you do the dolphin swimming? Thru DCL or on your own ? The stingray encounter at CC is what we were hoping to try but our girls REALLY want to do something with dolphins! It just seems sooooo pricey to me at almost 200.00 a person at some places!

It was the Blue Lagoon dolphin excursion through DCL. Since we hadn't done one before or know anything about it at the time, I wasn't confident booking on my own but I'd be willing to do so now, if it would save money. I think it was about $125 at the time, but that was 5 years ago....
