I'm really sorry, just very full of pre-booking questions :sad2:. If your hotel's pool and facilities are shut are you allowed to use the other hotels? It's our deciding factor between new york and newport bay hotels.

Thank you all so much for your help :teeth:

Yes you will be allowed to use the pool at one of the other hotels, though I don't know which one they will allocate. When the Sequoia Lodge pool was closed, we were sent over to the Newport Bay.

Are you sure?
I thought they changed that rule.
I called last year with the same question and the answer was negative.
No switching, it was a matter of insurance.

Hi

We booked the SL this year for December and I found out myself that the pool was closed. I asked the question if we could use another disney hotel pool and was told not. :confused3 We ended up changing to the New York.

AFAIK you cannot switch pools as a matter of course. If your hotel pool is closed for refurb you are normally told which hotel pool you can used with showing your ID :)

That's very unfair :sad2:

Sorry if I gave misinformation. The times I'm talking about, when we were able to use another hotel's pool when ours was closed, were back in '92 and '95 - it would seem like they have changed the rules.

I've just read this bit again -
