Swimming in December

Have my first trip ever to FW scheduled for the first week of December. I notice that the main pool is "heated". Is it warm enough to swim in early December?

Two years ago we went first week of Dec and the weather was sunny and in the 80's and kids swam every day, we decided to go again the first week Dec. and it was much cooler and rainy every day, no swimming, although the pool is heated. They say its a hit or miss on the weather. It did'nt rain all day just a part of every day.

We went Christmas 2003 and it was hit and miss on the swimming. We did do TL one day and we were fine.

Nights get chilly though..be prepared!

I've been in January and yes the pool is heated; once you run and jump in it feels good but getting out and getting dried off can be chilly if your not quick.

Like the others said, you might hit a warm patch so it may not make a difference. But often in the winter months we have been the only swimmers with the steam/mist drifting lightly along the surface of the water, the splash ripples bouncing back and forth, just us. Especially the smaller pool over by the cabins.

The water is not hot like the beach in Florida during August but to me it is comfortable. Heck, bring the swimsuits and give it a shot.

Thanks for the responses. I don't mind cool water so it looks like I'll get some swimming in!

We have swam every Dec not at FW but at the other resorts we have stayed at it has never been to cold out etc for us to swim. The pools are heated so we are good to go even at night when teh temps drop to the low 50's we will hop in for a swim.

This is Patsy1969's dh replying.
New years week 2006 had two oldest grandson and my self in pool at
all times of day and nite. Water was great and warm,but I found out that
for the must part I was the only one over 15 in the water.(some moms).
