Just thought, if you stay on site, are you only allowed to swim at the hotel you are staying in? Or can you use any hotel's outside pool?

No you are only aloud to use the pools at your hotel unless your stay unless your a DVC member staying on points,but even then there are a couple of exceptions

If you ask me it's a lot of effort to go to another resorts pool - they all have water anyway

We like to visit different pools and have done many times while staying at DVC resorts on points, we go to poly have a swim,go on the water speed boats then go to get a nice pulled beef sandwich(not available at many resorts) a nice day

Can you use pool toys or floaties?

Pool toys not a problem,but if you take a ring in they will make you take it out(they offer free life vests in all sizes)and no snorkels allowed

the hours issue the main pool lifeguard will go off duty at around 10pm in the peak seasons and officaly the pool is then closed , if you use it its at your own risk,We tend to go to the quiet pool as there are no restrictions on time and usually near to room where beers are kept

Technically, yes, you're only supposed to use the pools at the resort you're staying at. I've never seen or heard of anyone checking IDs though, so you'd probably get away with it if you wanted to swim elsewhere. I'm not suggesting you do this though, as it is frowned upon.

They are more likely to check at a MK resort especially if the resort is busy. Very unlikely to check at a Mod or Value though.

The All star Music pool had tons of activities most of the day.

DVC members can't use AKV, BCV or BLT pools if they are not staying there, not sure if they do checks at AKV or BLT though. AKV pool was closed when we were there.
