Swimming at CC

We were in the water at CC last Saturday. Not going to lie, when you go in it's cold. Lol! But you acclimate quickly. We snorkeled and did the slides and had a great time.

Ok...I have something to shoot for! I WILL pack my snorkel and be brave!
Thank you!

We were there in March and it was FREEZING! I think the water temp was 70. We'll be back next Christmas so I'm glad to see 77 this week, hopefully we'll be snorkeling. We were so excited to snorkel and tried to adjust to the water but it was just too cold and we had to bail on snorkeling.

Last Thursday (Dec. 19th), we were told the water temperature was 78 F. We went in for a few minutes; however, the wind was really strong (30+ mph) and that made it seem cooler. It definitely wasn’t like our typical August cruise day where we would stay in the water for lengthy periods of time. Even sitting on the beach at Serenity Bay in those winds was not that enjoyable. We were just happy to have actually docked as some of the CM’s told us that contingency plans were being made in case we couldn’t get in due to the wind.

78 degree water on December 19! Wow.

I am just thrilled to be going on the NYE cruise. Snorkeling would be a bonus.

Sorry, but this just made me laugh! I live near the Great Lakes and if they ever get up to 70 degrees in the summer we're all celebrating how warm the water is! Usually it never gets that warm but we still swim all summer long! :)

I live in Indy! Usually we're happy to not have coats on, especially in March. The air temp was perfect to us but the water wasn't working for us. I probably would have snorkeled anyway but my husband and daughter weren't going along. My daughter asked to go back on the ship and we ended up in the heated pool.

Very subjective. Our gym keeps the outdoor pool heated to 70 degrees in the winter. I swim twice a week year round, so Castaway Cay water temperature was plenty warm. We were on Castaway Cay during January (2nd to be exact) and the water temperature was fine, only time we got cool was went we got out of the water.

Very interesting that it says the water doesn't get below 68 degrees. We've been there twice in Jan and three times in March. I found the water to be absolutely FREEZING every time. Guess I'm a whimp, lol!! Air temps are perfect for sitting in a chair with a Mojito though!!😂
The website says the coldest water temp recorded was 73° in 2010 which is like Nantucket in the summer so I'm good with that.

78 degrees sounds really good for January. I prefer 80 and up, but getting into some sunshine and maybe a dip into a cool Caribbean sounds good to me. We will be there next Wednesday. 👍🏻😊

We went a few years ago in Feb, my two kids were the only ones in the water for several hours. We laughed at the pictures we have, literally just the two of them, it looks deserted. We are from Michigan and I guess used to cold water. Hahaha

When you live in the northeast anything without ice floating in it is warm enough to swim! 😂 I don't think the water temperature gets much higher than 70-maybe towards the end of the summer, maybe. All kidding aside, I use a rash guard in cooler waters when I want to snorkel and then have a dry shirt to change into when I am done. Works like a charm!
