This morning, Thumper has been very restless and aggitated. This happens every time a weather front comes through and the weather is going to be stormy (happens in the winter before it snows as well). I assume it's her natural instincts to find someplace to hide in bad weather.
They are calling for thunderstorms here today and she was really banging around in her box. I took her out and held her close, her head resting on my shoulder. After a few minutes of being held close, I felt her little nose against my cheek, nuzzling.
Moments later, she was licking my cheek.
It almost felt as if she was thanking me for giving her comfort.
I continued to hold her til she calmed down. She is now back in her box, with her "friend" keeping her company (the stuffed seal she has had with her since the early days
). I moved her box into the bedroom with the shades drawn. She seems to like things like that when the weather is unsettled.
I hope it's not a stormy summer!!
Poor bunny doesn't like that!!!
