Sweet Sixteen on the Dream! The Good, the Bad, and the Crazy!

I had to laugh at your post with the bird....when DH and I cruised a few years back I went through the buffet first and went to find a table while he got his coffee. I KNOW I had a piece od sausage on my plate and when I returned from opening the door for DH it was gone! In about 15 seconds....those suckers are Fast!

We got off of the ship for a little bit. We really didn't have anything we necessarily wanted to do so we went to the straw market. It was just too hot and too crowded so we didn't even stay long. That straw market just gets annoying! I told DD that they would make a lot more money if they would just leave people alone and let them shop!!! I usually just walk off if I get to shopping and thinking of buying some stuff and they start hounding me!

So we bought a few things, then headed back to the ship. I came across this man, and started to chit chat with him. He had lots of his paintings that he was selling. I could not believe he only wanted $6 for these paintings! They are beautiful!!!!!! Here's the one I bought and got him to sign it. (Now I wish I would have bought a few more!) You can see DD chillin next to him. He was very sweet!

We get back on the ship and go back to the room to change. We really didn't mind just staying on the ship this day, except for the couple hours we were in Nassau. We decided to just spend the extra time enjoying the ship!

After lunch, we decide to part ways again. DD went to Vibe to meet up with some teens, and I wanted to go back to the room to organize a few things.
So as soon as she heads off to Vibe, I get to the main atrium, and

Hopefully he'll be there. After you pass through the nassau "welcome center" area, then walk towards the straw market, he was right there, you can't miss him.

That happened all the time. We did get a lot together, too. But I really wish she had been there, especially for these next ones. They were so cute!

We started to just stay on the ship since our excursion got cancelled, but we went ahead and got off the ship to go there. It was really hot, and crowded so we didn't stay long.

How far is it to the straw market? Is it in walking distance from the boat? Your DD is beautifil and I love all her dresses!

Yes, you can walk there from the ship. It isn't far at all. I would say, maybe a 10 minute walk. Thanks!!

Thank you!! She loves fashion stuff. Always has to match everything up with earrings, shoes, jewelry, etc..

Not far at all. After you pass through the "welcome center" area, just keep going towards the straw market, and he was right there. You can't miss him, cause he had all his paintings lined up against the walkway.

I made my way to the Atrium where they were having character photos.
So me, myself, and I (minus DD), went straight for the line!

Right after the photos, it was time for a Character Dance Party

Make way for Goofy. He's a wild one!!!

I went to the room briefly, and found some more FE gifts.

We had such a great FE group! It was so fun! Everybody gave wonderful things. I highly recommend anyone going on the DCL, to find their cruise date in the meet & greet thread, and join (or start) a FE exchange group!


On the bed was our Pirate Night "invitation" and Mickey bandanas.

Coming up: Pirate Night deck party and dinner at Enchanted Garden again.

That's pumpkin head! He's at MK a few times a week, always has that pumpkin hat on. A little quirky, but nice guy.

Totally agree with you on the straw market! We didn't stay long either, you can barely move in there to begin with and then to have people breathing down your neck trying to sell you everything - it was very annoying! I'm sure there were good deals to be made, but I didn't have the patience to try.

I think I took pictures of both sides of the pillow. I thought it was so cool how they flipped it at night.
