Yay for being packed~! I pack about a week in advance and we usually take broken in shoes that still look new. We Always take new underwear and socks! I guess your mom warning you to have good underwear on when you travel stick with you!

I do buy new undies !!! My Mum always said "In Case you have to go to the Hospital"

I allready have a box of things for car ( trip presents) and "tinkerbelle gifts" and I still have 122 days to go.

I need some help!!!Judy needs something to help on the plane !!!Her ears bother her tremendously!! I seem to think someone told me an anti congestant helped or anti histamine and I can't remember which !!Anyone know ?? Her ears don't UN Pop and it is agony for her for almost a day!!

For my trip to Finland I had to go and see the doctor the day before I was supposed to depart because I had an ear infection. And he said I was ok to fly, but should take some anti-congestant (he prescribed a spray) before the flight and in case the ear would bother me again during the flight. I was absolutely fine, no pain at all!

Just popped in to say HI Rosie! Can't believe you're now doing the Single Digit Dance!!!

I have to share with my Dis Family, that all has not been horrendous this week !!I am soooo happy and proud of Judy!!Some of you may remember earlier this year she was offered a substantial raise by another Brokerage firm and her current firm matched it to keep her !!Well this week the President of the OTHER company called and offered her even MORE money , pretty much set her hours take off whenever she wanted for vacation ( with pay and of course within reason)They will pay her cobra if it is necessary !! Would you say they want herAND when she was first approached this week she still wasn;t jumping at it !!!But she has decided !!She thinks she will work from home a lot too as this is the long term goal of the president as it saves on office space and utilities ; This Guy was the owner of another brokerage she worked for and sold it to a large company who are terrible to work for !!She plans ongetting her buddy Mike from where she is right now in with the new company too !!!

Congrats to Judy! Sounds like a great opportunity!

BTW, did I miss the news about an October trip??? Or did the Florida sun burn it from my memory while I was away???

Rosie, I have HORRIBLE ear pain when flying. Buy SUDAFED (tiny red pills) from the pharmacy, NOT over the counter as it is not the same. You can ask for the store brand as it is less $. It is a decongestant. I also take bendryl, but most people do not need that much. You will have to sign for it and show an ID b/c only so many can bought every 30 days (the girls could not pick it up as they are under age).

How long is your flight? If more than 3 hours, then she will need to take 2 two hours before the flight and 2 again an hour before it is time for decent. You take them every 4 hours, so if your flight is like 3 hrs and 45 mins, taking them once will not help.

Personally, I cannot use a nasal spray (makes me gag), but she could call her Dr and ask if s/he could give her a prescription for a decongestant nasal spray if she prefers that to the pill.

The ear plugs do nothing for me - I think they work for people with mild ear discomfort. You can buy those at the pharmacy too. She could take both.

First Judy has decided NOT to take the job !!!She figured out the extra distance and time was not gonna be worth it !! She was sooo undecided and sleepless until I told her to talk to her Dad and cousin !!Both of whom agreed she should turn it down !! She called the other company and both the manager and CEO understood and get this said , they would keep on offering her in the future cuz they were determined when the time was right that she would work with them !!Wow that says a lot for them and Judy!!!

As for the clean underwear at the ER Totally agree is definately in the "Old Wives Tales catorgory"

She does NOT want to take Benedryl , which I have as the last time she took some ,she was knocked out solid for 2 hours in the middle of the day!!I do believe it was sudafed she used before and she took it in the airport about 45 mins before we took off and said it was the least discomfort she had had . I think the little red ones were it too !!I do believe it is one you have to go to the pharmacy for now . I am gonna have her try both sudafed and the plugs !!

Thought I would share the 2 Tops I picked up for Samantha today !!Poor kid with her Mono she hasn't worked and her sister has and has been buying new things for school and Disney . So Grandma went with Steph to shop and picked up a couple of tops for Samantha !!

Got them on sale for a total of under $7.50 for both

Next is a Coach purse she bought with some of her money , not gonna say where from but suffice to say it was NYC street market price

She also bought a black one just like it and a pair of Jordan sneakers and I think her total was $100, Steph got 3 pairs of sneakers and 1 purse for $160

Errr No it's still being built " Judy but they are taking reservaaaaa Oh for October 2012 !!"" Mom they have suites with kitchenettes and a seperate bedroom !!" Yes I know and they have 4 themes !! Judy Oh I guess you do know about it !!!

This is my beloved daughter , she waits till now to get excited reeled of a whole list of things she was reading that she hadn't done !!Now remember this is the gal who said she'd seen it all after numero uno trip!!!
