This weekend is thankgiving(Toronto)
Does anyone remember a recipie involving marshmelllow creme and slivered almonds?

Does it have to have marshmallow?
I have an excellent recipe for sweet potato casserole. Generally, I dislike sweet potato anything, but this is GOOOOOD.

Let me know if you would like it.

Sweet Potato Casserole

FILLING
3 cups mashed s. potatoes
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup reg. sugar (calls for 1 and 1/2 but I don't put that much)
1 cup milk
2 beaten eggs
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 (or little less) cinnamon

TOPPING
1/3 cup Pecans -- chopped
1/3 cup Packed brown sugar
1/3 cup flaky cereal (I like using Honey Bunches of Oats) Corn flakes are fine
2 tablespoons butter, melted.

Mix the sweet potatoes, brown sugar, sugar. Beat in eggs, milk, nutmeg and cinnamon. Pour into a greased 2 qt casserole. Combine the pecans, brown sugar and cereal. Stir in 2 tablespoons of melted butter.

Sprinkle the mixture over the sweet potatoes and bake at 325 for 1 hour.

NOTE: I roast my potatoes, peel and mash.

Sorry I left you hanging. We are having a bonfire tonight and I was cooking last night.

1/2 teaspoon is the actual measurement. We sort of wing it on spices.

You are all so welcome. I hope you enjoy it as much as we always do. It's an easy recipe to prepared ahead of time (MINUS the topping) and refrigerate it for a couple of days. Top then cook. Something you don't have to do day of.
